FIRST JOB :
YTS trainee in Information Technology, way back when you only got £25 a week
ONE JOB YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED :
A film censor at the British Board Of Film Censorship. I don't agree with
censorship at all, but they get to see some shit-hot films!

Sid James & Kenneth Williams
Spike Milligan
Bob Kell (honest!)
Homer Simpson

FIRST AND LAST RECORD YOU BOUGHT :
First single - Gillan : Vengeance
First album - AC/DC : Back In Black
Last single - Children On Stun : Celibacy & Anadin EP
Last album - Die Laughing : Glamour & Suicide
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT :
At school, going to sit down in Biology and catching my nether regions on
the corner of those great big lab tables, and spending the next 5 minutes
rolling around in agony, then the rest of the day clutching my nads. Very
nasty.
WORST ITEM OF CLOTHING EVER BOUGHT :
Never BOUGHT anything cack, but I do remember some really awful tank tops
and cords that my mam used to buy me for school and "Sunday best"
WHAT BOOK ARE YOU READING AT THE MOMENT :
Just finished "The Death & Life Of Superman" novelisation from the comics
Re-reading the graphic novel "Death - The High Cost Of Living" by Neil
Gaiman, a spin-off from his "Sandman" series (yes, that's where I took my
name)
ALL TIME HERO :
Dante Gabriel Rosetti, Pre-Raphaelite artist. Genius and pervert.
WHAT IS YOUR WORST HABIT :
Some would say smoking, but I think that it's dead clever and makes you look
hard. It would have to be turning into an obnoxious bastard when I've had a
few too many beers and people start to annoy me.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED :
Honestly can't remember. Nearly cried when my son was born, and when I got
married.
APART FROM FAMILY,WHAT IS THE GREATEST LOVE OF YOUR LIFE :
My two cats, Stimpy & Shiva. I'm definitely a cat person. Apart from the
wolf, I think dogs are dumber than sheep.
IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL WHAT WOULD YOU BE :
A wolf. Definitely. I think that they're bloody amazing animals.
WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU LIVE :
Tokyo, Japan - loads of cheap technology all over the place, and they've got
this dead cool park where everyone goes to doss about on Sundays.
WHAT'S THE MOST EXPENSIVE TREAT YOU'VE EVER BOUGHT YOURSELF :
My first STFM in 1989. £150 for a half meg machine, and I thought it was
tops!
WHAT DO YOU HATE MOST :
I could do a whole article on this bit. Top of the list is The Spice Girls,
a bunch of talentless, childish, airheaded bints.
Next up is Manchester United and all their fans. I used to live in
Manchester, and I never knew one supporter. The team is absolutely cack and
hyped to high heaven, and they're one of the dirtiest teams around but get
away with it cos that miserable Scottish git of a manager whinges all the
time.
The last one I'll put for this will be the companies left who are still
"supporting" Atari products, and everyone else in this category, who are
just using the name to try and flog cheap hardware and software at
ridiculous prices.
IF YOU HAD 1,000 QUID TO SPEND JUST FOR YOU,WHAT'D YOU BUY :
Well, sorry to say, but it's be a PC. For a grand, I could get a 486 multi-
media, inkjet printer, 1 gig hard drive, and that's only taken up about
£500! Don't believe me? Look at the second hand prices in the papers... 486
PC - £300. Printer - £70. Hard drive - £100 NEW!
With the other £500? A decent electric guitar & amp, and a keyboard with
MIDI.
WHEN WERE YOU LAST ANGRY :
The last time I watched a program on American "culture". Every day I thank
God for the Atalantic Ocean!
FAVOURITE SPORTSMAN :
Hmm. I'll have to split this one up I think. All footballers, mind...
Pele - greatest footballer that ever lived.
Kevin Keegan - he WAS the Messiah at Newcastle.
Tino Asprilla - there's no-one to match him in the world.
...and, once upon a time, my dad (also John), when he was an England darts
international and UK pairs champion with Doug MacCarthy.
MOST USED ST PROGRAMS :
STOS
NeoChrome
First Word Plus
Positivity Mega Ripper
IF YOU WERE REINCARNATED WHO OR WHAT WOULD YOU COME BACK AS :
Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman catsuit in Batman Returns..... mrrrriiooowwww!
