- Back in 1985, I needed a RAM upgrade. My C-64
- was not able to handle the mailing list my
- family had running on it. So, the options were
- narrowed down to two; the C-128 or the new Atari
- 520ST. The choice was clear and soon I upgraded
- my ST to 1 meg.
- I began to dabble in programming and quickly
- felt at home within the interpreter of GFA BASIC
- and its utilities. I wrote several programs for
- my own personal use, but never took anything I
- did seriously. I explored all aspects of my
- Atari including DTP, artwork, sound and music.
- After subscribing to GEnie a year ago, I was
- thrust into information heaven. Inspired by
- what I saw online, I decided to begin writing
- a game. After running into several bumpers, I
- began asking some questions, which led me to
- Dave.
-
- We talked a while and he asked if I had done
- any graphics work before. I showed him some
- stuff and soon he was asking me to help him
- on some emergency artwork for SeaWolf 95.
- After it was finished, Dave asked me to begin
- work on MegaSpace and Square Off. With Square
- Off out the door, and with my first release
- under my belt, I feel very confident about
- our upcoming Choplifter 95 and MegaSpace
- releases. I'm sure you'll all enjoy them.
- As for the future, well, I'm selling my
- TT and buying a Falcon. I want to begin
- to broaden my horizons graphically by
- slowly moving into 24-bit true color.
- Rendering is a small passion of mine, and
- I've worked with several PD/shareware
- titles, but eventually want to move on. But
- for now, we'll be sticking with the ST.
