  12. Eliza, is a program that emulates a Pychatrist (Am I spelling that

  14. right,  I can't find it anywhere in the dictionary?!) although  it 
  15.   
  16. doesn't really solve any of your problems.

  18. It  is  quite  a  good  idea and  maybe  with  a  slightly  bigger 
  19.   
  20. understanding of what you are typing in it might just  work.   You 
  21.   
  22. can  see how the program works but it can be quite  intresting  in 
  23.   
  24. how the Eliza responds when you answer her questions in a  certain 
  25.   
  26. way.

  28. I can't really say much else, infact if I have room on this disk I 
  29.   
  30. might put Eliza on with the other P.D. I have included (see "P.D.

  32. on this disk" article!).

  34. As  I said it can be quite intresting to see what the response  is

  36. to  what you say to her but you just seem to go around in  circles

  38. and  when you don't you are not getting anywhere.   She  asks  you 
  39.   
  40. what is wrong,  you tell her.   She then asks you if you are  sure 
  41.   
  42. that that is the problem and then she says that is intresting  and 
  43.   
  44. then  nothing really happens and by the time you get her  speaking 
  45.   
  46. sense again you've started all over again.   This gets very boring 
  47.   
  48. in  the end and you just don't bother to try it again although  it 
  49.   
  50. is nice to see a computer trying to be helpful in such a way!

  52. Another  problem I came up against was that it kept on  asking  me 
  53.   
  54. why  I  had  brought up the subject of friends  when  I  had  said 
  55.   
  56. nothing of the sort.   When I did bring up the subject of  friends 
  57.   
  58. she would say nothing.

  60. I  can't really put the program down though as we all know  it  is 
  61.   
  62. impossible for a computer to think for itself at our present state 
  63.   
  64. of  technology  but I think it was a good try at it and it  is  an 
  65.   
  66. original and good idea.
