STOSSER is a disk magazine that concentrates on er....GFA
programming? No, I don't think so. No, it is a disk magazine
that is completely devoted to the ultimate programming language :
STOS. The disk magazine comes out on the 20th of every month and
is full to the brim with tutorials, tips, adverts and other STOS
related subjects. There are also a few non-STOS articles though
but they still stick the odd non computing article in for a bit
of enjoyment.
Each month, a new shell is programmed by the author of STOSSER
and I must say that the shell, along with the content has been
getting better and better. The author is Tony Greenwood who is
also the writer of the Talking Message Creator which was reviewed
in issue 7 of POWER.
Along with all the articles, there is also some free P.D given
away every now and then plus loads of STOS source and other
goodies for all those STOSSERS out there to dig in to.
So far, five issues have been produced and the editorial side of
things is getting stronger as readership increases.
STOSSER is a very good attempt at a disk magazine and is well
worth a look, even if you're not really in to STOS.
I have ALL issues produced, so if you send the appropriate amount
of blank disks, postage and packaging then I will send you the
amount of disks ordered. I charge NO fee for this at all.
However, you can also order from the official STOSSER distributor
which is GOODMANS P.D.L.
Goodmans P.D.L address is:
GOODMAN ENTERPRISES (DEPT STF)
16 CONRAD CLOSE
MEIR HAY ESTATE
LONGTON
STOKE-ON-TRENT
ST3 1SW
The phone number is:
(0782) 335650
Their fax is:
(0782) 316132
Well, that must be just about all the ways you can get in touch
with GOODMANS so if you like a bit of STOS, why not give this
disk magazine a try....But don't abandon POWER!
