  3.                     THE MOST POWERFUL MAG IN THE WORLD!

  7. POWER is quite simply the best disk magazine on the ST scene for a number 
  8. of reasons...
  9.  
  10. For a start, we're just about the only general ST disk magazine still alive 
  11. and coming out every month in the ST scene!
  12.  
  13. We're always first to get reviews on new P.D.  As proof, here are just a 
  14. few P.D. releases we got reviewed before ANY other magazine in the whole 
  15. world including the glossy disk magazines (ST FORMAT etc.)...
  16.  
  17. MAGIC TOMB - We reviewed as soon as it was finished and got it direct from 
  18. the author.  The glossy mags didn't get it reviewed until at least 3 months 
  19. later!

  21. MOBSTERS CITY - We reviewed this last month and were the first magazine to 
  22. do so.  At this time of writing, there still isn't a mag that has had it 
  23. reviewed yet even though it is one of the hottest games just finished!

  25. FREAKED OUT II - We were the first to get this brilliant sequal reviewed 
  26. and it was roughly two months later until the glossy mags got hold of it!
  27.  
  28. ARMOURED OPERATION - Once again, we got one of the first copies and had it 
  29. reviewed straight away.  We also offered 5 free copies of the licenceware 
  30. game.  This was reviewed two or three issues ago and since then has sold by 
  31. the lorry load but as far as I know, the glossy mags (or any other mag) 
  32. still hasn't had a copy reviewed!

  34. LORD RAMSEY IN THE 25TH CENTURY - We recieved a copy and got it reviewed a 
  35. whole month before any other magazine!

  37. HUNCHY - We got BOTH Hunchy games reviewed way before any other mag and it 
  38. was only a couple of months later that the glossies only got hold of ONE of 
  39. them!

  41. SPOT IT - This hugely spread and popular game was reviewed in POWER before 
  42. any of the glossy mags!
  43.  
  44. We've had a load more P.D. releases reviewed here at POWER before anyother 
  45. magazine and they're not little programs which just aren't good enough for 
  46. reviewing, just about all of them have been reviewed in the glossy mags and 
  47. other disk magazines but only much later after their release.

  49. We have hundreds of contacts and through these, we can get all the latest 
  50. releases for reviewing as soon as they come out.  We haev even had some 
  51. commercial games reviewed before the glossy mags...We even had ZOOL 
  52. reviewed before the glossy mags!!!

  54. So you want more about why we're the best disk mag around?  Okay then, just 
  55. look at what we offer EVERY month...

  72. Even things such as advertising.  We get loads of people advertising in 
  73. POWER.  Unlike with T.V. or radio, you can just flick past these if you 
  74. don't want to read them so they are no hassle but you benefit from them 
  75. too.  POWER is the first place that many come to advertise so you know 
  76. exactly what is on offer and what is happening.

  78. We also have loads of informative articles every month helping you with 
  79. things from buying a second hand car to the best programming tips. 
  80.  
  81. POWER offers a content which appeals to all.  There is something for 
  82. everyone.

  84. We have loads of articles which have made it to POWER first too.  Examples 
  85. include the big virus scare which made POWER get a few virus articles out, 
  86. the glossy mags tagged along behind us.  Also, we've been providing up-to-
  87. date information and exclusive articles on the new ATARI JAGUAR for at 
  88. least 5 months now.  We've given information on the console, the games and 
  89. even all the technical information and we've compared the competition.  A 
  90. copy of POWER was then sent to all the magazines and the following month, 
  91. an article very similar to our one was published in one of the leading 
  92. magazines.  Now, only in the last few months have the glossy mags started 
  93. writing about the glossy mags but we've given ALL the information that the 
  94. glossy mags have given plus more way before them!

  96. We also did the same with the Falcon whilst also giving the Falcon 
  97. specifications and as much information as possible.

  99. In this very issue, we have the first disk magazine review of the new ATARI 
  100. console, THE JAGUAR!
  101.  
  102. We have had loads of exlusive P.D. (and we have loads more to come!) and 
  103. always produce the latest and best P.D. on disks when there's enough space.  
  104. We've had loads of exclusive games including the popular RINGS OF POWER and 
  105. we've even had an exlcusive Depacker in the form of the DUNGEON DEPACKER.

  107. If you still need a reason to want to read POWER then you must be mad.  
  108. We're now one of the leading disk magazines and have outlived all others of 
  109. our type.  We have a radership which is now one of the fastest growing now 
  110. that we are Shareware and not only do we have hndreds of readers supporting 
  111. us but also programmers, programming groups, licenceware groups, P.D.L. 
  112. owners and other disk magazine and paper magazine writers.  We're the best 
  113. disk mag about so spread the word, spread your copies or POWER and stick 
  114. with the leading disk magazine!
