  3.                                STAMP APPEAL

  6. Some of you no doubt remember an appeal I put out a while ago, for used 
  7. stamps to be sent to me for  Cancer Research.   Well,  i'm just writing 
  8. this little file to say  a couple of things.  
  9.  
  10. Firstly, thanks almost exclusively to the efforts of the ST owning public, 
  11. i managed to smash straight through my original target of 10,000 stamps.
  12. When  i handed the first batch in a month ago,  there were over 25,000  of 
  13. them.  So the first thing i've got to say is thankyou to everyone who took 
  14. the time to read the file and send me stamps, however few there were.  
  15.  
  16. Next off, even now, I am still receiving the odd little packages of stamps.
  17. Most notably from Caroline Price of New Age, and therefore, I have decided 
  18. to  continue collecting them for the forseeable future.   I  already  have 
  19. about 3 to 4 thousand more,  but i would very much like to get as many  as 
  20. you  sent last time.   ALL the stamps go directly to the  Cancer  Research 
  21. fund as soon as I have a worthwhile ammount to take in.

  23. If you want to help, here's how:

  25. Spread the word to all your family and friends,  tell them about the 
  26. appeal, what it's for, and ask them to keep hold of their used stamps, and 
  27. pass them on to you, you can then send them to me, and then I can pass 
  28. them on.
  29.  
  30. You do not need to do anything to them.   Simply cut them out of  whatever 
  31. they were on,  leaving the paper or whatever attached.  They can be in any 
  32. condition  and  of any value,  nationality or  whatever.   So  please  get 
  33. collecting.

  39. Unfortunately, I won't be able to send out disks of p.d. for people sending 
  40. over a hundred this time.  But that is purely because so many people 
  41. replied  last time,  that if the same happened again,  i just wouldn't  be 
  42. able to afford it.   I will however gladly refund postage for those of you 
  43. sending in VERY large ammounts.   Say,  for over a thousand.  But you must 
  44. ask for it, otherwise i won't do it.

  47. more stamps from you again.  Thanks for your help so far.
