JITTERBUGS SHIP EDITOR
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Shadow Software 1988
Aaron Fothergill.
This program allows you to create
your own levels for the JITTERBUGS
game or to edit the existing ones .
Each game Level is made up of 3 floors
each of which is 90x90 tiles .
Editing is done by simply clicking
the mouse on the tile you want (left
button) and then placing it on the
floor by either clicking it in place
or holding the left button down and
drawing with it .
Clicking the Right button gives you
the tile selector page where you can
pick from all the tiles with the
left button .
Use the Joystick to move around the
floor area .
There are various options along the
bottom of the screen . Click with
the left button to activate .
SAVE : saves the floor
LOAD : loads a floor
QUIT : quits the program
MAP : Maps the entire floor .
NEW : clears the entire floor .
LIFT : clears the entire floor except
for lift tiles , which it
reverses , allowing you to
design a new floor above or
below the old one .
GRID : displays the co-ordinates of
the tiles on the screen .
PICK : brings up the tile selector
page .
N.B you must put some of the normal
blank floor tiles (the first one) on
a level , or no aliens or players
can start on it (causing the game to
lock out).
File Format
the File format for each floor is
LEVEL.Clf
where l is the game level (1-8) and
f is the floor number (0-2) where
0 is the top floor and 2 is the
bottom (2 and 0 wrap around ).
so
LEVEL.C52 is the 2nd floor of the 5th
level .
You must have a 1st level floor on
your game disk or the game will lock
out .
