  1. X-UTILITIES
  2.  
  3. A very useful set of utilities to 
  4. have at the press of a mouse button.
  5.  
  6. Install XUTI.ACC into the DESK 
  7. menu as you would any other accessory.
  8. Single-click on it once it's in the 
  9. menu. A box will appear giving you with
  10. several options.
  11.  
  12. FORMAT - will format either a straight 
  13. ST disk or a non-standard - but higher
  14. capacity - disk.
  15.  
  16. COPY - allows you to make a backup of 
  17. an ST disk. It's much faster than the
  18. GEM Desktop equivalent.
  19.  
  20. REPAIR - looks through a disk for bad
  21. sectors. And will reformat any bad 
  22. tracks it finds. As much data as 
  23. possible will be saved. USE WITH 
  24. CARE. Make a copy of the disk before 
  25. trying to repair it.

  27. PRINTER CONFIGURATION - setup the 
  28. system to recocgnise the printer 
  29. attached to your machine.
  30.  
  31. KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION - get at all 
  32. those non-standard characters by 
  33. assigning them to keys on the ST 
  34. keyboard.
