  1.      3D Viewing Studio Menu Screen
  2.  
  3.                Overview
  4.     This screen allows you to view one
  5. of the eight 3D objects created on the
  6. 3D Construction Screen. The object
  7. displayed is the same as the one that
  8. was last being edited. Using this
  9. screen you can place the object at any
  10. desired angle and plot the wire frame
  11. result onto the current work screen.
  12. See the 3D section and the tutorial
  13. concerning this later in the manual. To
  14. enter this screen you must click on the
  15. View Obj item on the 3D Construction
  16. screen.

  18. Item: Bank
  19. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  20. Desc: This selects the angle of
  21. rotation around the Z axis that the
  22. object is displayed with.
  23. Opts: All 3D Options (3VM,3CM)
  24.  
  25. Item: Bearing
  26. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  27. Desc: Similar to Bank, but rotates
  28. around the Y Axis.
  29. Opts: All 3D Options (3VM,3CM)

  31. Item: Colour Selector
  32. Type: Icon Selector
  33. Desc: Selects which colour the 3D
  34. object is displayed in and also the
  35. colour in which it will be plotted onto
  36. the work screen using the Plot button.

  39. Item: Exit
  40. Type: Action Bar
  41. Desc: Returns you to the 3D
  42. Construction Studio.
  43. Opts: None

  45. Item: Move X
  46. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  47. Desc: This determines the distance
  48. along the X axis which the object is in
  49. relation to the viewer (the horizontal
  50. distance).
  51. Opts: All 3D Options (3VM,3CM)

  53. Item: Move Y
  54. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  55. Desc: Determines distance along the Y
  56. Axis (the height).
  57. Opts: All 3D Options (3VM,3CM)

  59. Item: Move Z
  60. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  61. Desc: Determines distance along the Z
  62. axis (like a zoom).
  63. Opts: All 3D Options (3VM,3CM)

  65. Item: Perspect
  66. Type: Plus/Minus bar
  67. Desc: Changes the perspective value
  68. used to represent the shape of the lens
  69. in the eye. You can produce some
  70. strange effects setting this to obscure
  71. values.

  74. Item: Pitch
  75. Type: Plus/Minus Bar
  76. Desc: Determines how far the object is
  77. rotated around the X axis.

  81. Type: Action Bar
  82. Desc: Clicking on this option brings up
  83. the current work screen upon which you
  84. may plot the 3D object shown in the
  85. viewing window. Use the left mouse
  86. button to plot the object. The lines
  87. which make up the object will be drawn
  88. according to the current line effects,
  89. so if you have selected a thick line
  90. with arrowed ends from the Line Specbox
  91. (Main Menu), then the object will be
  92. drawn with that type of line. Use the
  93. right button to go back to the 3D
  94. Viewing Studio.

  97. Item: Reset
  98. Type: Action Bar
  99. Desc: By pressing this button, all the
  100. values represented by the Plus/Minus
  101. Selectors on the screen will be set
  102. back to the values they were when
  103. Canvas was loaded. The current values
  104. can be viewed on the viewing window
  105. itself by clicking once on it.

  108. Item: Undo
  109. Type: Action Bar
  110. Desc: This button undoes any changes
  111. made to the work screen since you
  112. entered the Viewing Studio ie. any
  113. Plots.

  116. Item: Viewing Window
  117. Type: Special Selector
  118. Desc: This window displays the current
  119. object in the position and rotation
  120. determined by the various options on
  121. the screen. If you click on the window
  122. itself, the parameters will be
  123. displayed. Clicking again will get rid
  124. of them.
