************ CYPHER.PRG ************
******* THE IMAGE SCRAMBLER ********
Are your Degas or Neochrome pictures
safe from prying eyes?
Want them to be?
Read on.............................
Cypher is a simple program designed out
of necessity...
To keep prying eyes from my pictures.
It takes any Degas PI1 or Neo picture
file and scrambles it, encoding into it
your own specific password.
Once loaded enter a password via the
password menu, which you are likely to
remember (BUT ONLY YOU) keeping it 5
characters or over, including spaces if
you wish, then select the file menu.
Either load a Degas "PI1", or neochrome
".NEO" picture and Cypher will do the
rest. The picture will be displayed for
a short while, encoded and displayed
again in it's scrambled form, Cypher
will then save the image with the "ENC"
extension and erase the original file.
To unscramble a picture select the file
menu and load "ENC". The encoded file
will then appear briefly and then be
decoded and resaved into its original
picture format.
************* WARNING **************
It's best to stick to the same password
each time you use cypher. Each time you
encode a picture, your password is
burried into it and only that password
can be used to decode it. Use lots of
different ones and your in touble. Use
the wrong one and the picture will be
decoded incorrectly and resaved as a
scrambled mess!!
