  26. Cypher is a simple program designed out
  27. of necessity...

  30. To keep prying eyes from my pictures.
  31.

  33. It takes any Degas PI1 or Neo picture
  34. file and scrambles it, encoding into it
  35. your own specific password.
  36.

  38. Once loaded enter a password via the
  39. password menu, which you are likely to
  40. remember (BUT ONLY YOU) keeping it 5
  41. characters or over, including spaces if
  42. you wish, then select the file menu.

  50. Either load a Degas "PI1", or neochrome
  51. ".NEO" picture and Cypher will do the
  52. rest. The picture will be displayed for
  53. a short while, encoded and displayed
  54. again in it's scrambled form, Cypher
  55. will then save the image with the "ENC"
  56. extension and erase the original file.

  59. To unscramble a picture select the file
  60. menu and load "ENC".  The encoded file
  61. will then appear briefly and then be
  62. decoded and resaved into its original
  63. picture format.

  78. It's best to stick to the same password
  79. each time you use cypher. Each time you
  80. encode a picture, your password is
  81. burried into it and only that password
  82. can be used to decode it. Use lots of
  83. different ones and your in touble. Use
  84. the wrong one and the picture will be
  85. decoded incorrectly and resaved as a
  86. scrambled mess!!
