  3. May I present you our newest issue of ST NEWS: Volume 2 Issue 5,
  4. containing many articles and a world-wide exclusive: Commodore
  5. 64 music!
  6.  
  7. How to copy this issue of ST NEWS:
  8.  
  9. The disk containing this issue of ST NEWS is maxi-formatted -
  10. using 80 tracks of 10 sectors each. It can be copied using the
  11. following copy programs:
  12.  
  13.   Fastcopy V1.00, V1.20 or V2.00 (disk def info YES)
  14.   ST Copy V2.1 or V2.3 (not protected)
  15.   ProCopy V1.11, V1.30, V1.32, V1.34, V1.40 or V1.41 (protected)
  16.          This copy program is not full-proof when used on non-
  17.          protected but maxi-formatted disks!
  18.   GEM built-in copy option (target disk should be formatted with
  19.          80 tracks of 10 sectors)
  20.  
  21. The disk is formatted single-sided and only uses tracks 0-79, so
  22. compatibility with the weirdest makes of disk drives is actually
  23. assured.

  25. On this disk, you should find the following items:

  27. In the AUTO folder:     TURBO.PRG
  28. In the DATA folder:     CODE1.MC
  29.                         CODE2.MC
  30.                         CODE3.PC2
  31.                         CODE4.MC - CODE7.MC
  32.                         DOC01 - DOC44
  33. In the PROGRAMS folder: BLOCKS.BAS
  34.                         BOOT.ASM
  35.                         BOOT.PRG
  36.                         DEEPDISK.BAS
  37.                         DRUMCOMP.BAS
  38.                         RESOURCE.BAS
  39.                         RESOURCE.H
  40.                         RESOURCE.RSC
  41.                         SCHELD.BAS
  42. In the root directory:  DESKTOP.INF
  43.                         READ_ME.TXT
  44.                         ST_NEWS.PRG

  46. All the files in the PROGRAMS folder belong to one or another
  47. article in this issue of ST NEWS, except the file SCHELD.BAS,
  48. which is meant as a bonus gift for our Dutch readers (just like
  49. MINNAAR.BAS some months ago).

  51. How to start up ST NEWS:
  52.  
  53. ST NEWS can be executed by pressing RESET with the ST NEWS disk
  54. in drive A, and afterwards clicking on the ST_NEWS.PRG program
  55. name twice with the left mouse button. If you're using a colour
  56. system, it will automatically switch to the proper screen
  57. resolution. A fastloader will be installed as well.
  58.  
  59. ST NEWS can also be booted up from drive B, harddisk or even from
  60. a RAM disk, but please be sure to be in Medium resolution when
  61. you're using a colour monitor or television. ST NEWS can even be
  62. copied into another folder.

  64. ST NEWS should work on every ST system on the market today, but
  65. does not work with ST configurations that still have TOS on disk.
  66. Sorry for that. Half a megabyte of memory (with TOS on ROM) will
  67. still be sufficient.

  69. ST NEWS is not copy-protected and may be copied freely, since it
  70. belongs to the public domain. As a matter of fact - the more you
  71. spread it the better it sounds to me!

  85.      THE most beatiful girl on earth - Willeke.
  86.      I hope you do not feel offended by the way in which I give
  87.      words to how much I love her (you never know). No X-Rated
  88.      stuff, but I can imagine that - if you happen to be freshly
  89.      in love yourself - you can feel a bit sick in the tummy
  90.      after reading some of it. Let me give you one hint: Girls
  91.      really like it when someone dedicates an entire computer
  92.      program to them, so why don't you start programming yourself
  93.      in that case?
