  1. Hi freaks!

  3. This  is  the  newest  version of ST NEWS -  Volume  2  issue  8, 
  4. launched  on December 19th 1987.  This time (for the  first  time 
  5. since  three  issues) the disk is again  normally  formatted  (no 
  6. maxi-format stuff).
  7.  
  8. Instruction for copying it to a double sided disk:
  9.  
  10. The directory contains hidden files.  These can be copied if  the 
  11. whole  disk icon is dragged on the target disk WINDOW  (!).  Only 
  12. when performing that operation,  hidden files are copied. Copying 
  13. to  another single sided disk can be done using any copy  program 
  14. that can copy non-protected disks.
  15.  
  16. You  can actually consider yourself lucky that this ST NEWS  came 
  17. out at all.  I actually had a lot of trouble getting all articles 
  18. in  time,  and Eerk Hofmeester took the bonus by  delivering  his 
  19. article  on friday evening,  December 18th.  And if  that  wasn't 
  20. enough,  he  found out that he had left the keys in the car  just 
  21. after having shut the door....

  23. I  won't specify the cracker's mentality that Eerk  explained  on 
  24. that  evening,  since it would probably cause the  bankruptcy  of 
  25. "STRIKE-a-LIGHT".  Anyway,  with  help of some  more  people,  he 
  26. skrambled the door and got in again (and the worse thing:  It was 
  27. Hubert van Mil's car, that now looks Pre-W.W. I!)

  29. Something  that I stress very much in this ST NEWS issue  is  the 
  30. fact that there is a virus on the ST. Read all about the virus as 
  31. well as a way to aniihilate it in this issue!

  33. The only thing that now remains is to wish you a merry  Christmas 
  34. and a happy (and virus-free) new year!
