POWER UP
MC Soft's Power Up is a racing car game seen from an overhead perspective
looking down on the track. Five cars participate in each race, two of which can
be player controlled. Each of the 60 tracks offers new challenges (changes to
the braking, oversteering, new scenery etc). A simple to use editor allows you
to design your own tracks. Passwords are given for each level so you don't have
to complete all 60 tracks in a single session! Power Up is unique in that it
runs on any Atari computer but has the ability to utilise the blitter and DMA
sound (at 25 Khz on the STE/ 50Khz on the TT and Falcon) if your hardware
supports it. There's even a special fast scrolling mode for Falcon owners.
Even STFM owners get digitised music! It can also output sound to Replay,
Replay Professional, Playback, MV16 and Prosound Designer cartridges. Power Up
costs just £12 + P&P (£1 UK, £2 Europe, £3 ROW).

TETRIS II STRIKES BACK
The latest release from Czech developers, Beast Software. The popular craze
from the 80's is back with a vengeance! Tetris II Strikes Back is the classic
brought right up to date. Like other 'revisited' games, it includes a faithful
recreation of the original along with revamped modern day version.
Both variants offer one or two player options (keyboard or joystick controlled)
and two types of gameplay, the second of which furnishes your armoury with a
limited supply of bombs which can be used to tackle those problem areas. The
Tetris II variant offers much more of a challenge than the original ever did,
with specific tasks having to be completed in order to complete one level and
proceed to the next. Other features include an excellent medley of old pop
tunes (ST/STe version only), bonuses for clearing multiple lines and more...
Tetris II Strikes Back costs only £8 + P&P (UK £1, Europe £2, ROW £3).
Separate versions exist for the ST/STe and TT/Falcon. Please state version
required when ordering.
