  4.         The disc is single sided, but if you double click on
  5. DOUBLE.TOS it will be instantly turned into a double sided disc with
  6. many more programs available - provided you have a double sided disc
  7. drive. (Don't save or delete anything from this disc).
  8.         Two main programs on this month's cover disc: Arnor's Protext
  9. word processor on this side of the disc and Domark's APB arcade game
  10. on the other. To run Protext double click on PROTEXT.PRG, press space
  11. when the title screen comes up, press 6 for a simple backspacing
  12. printer and then press 1 to try Protext. Type LOAD README then press
  13. Escape to edit this file.
  14.         To run APB first double click on DOUBLE.TOS to make the disc
  15. double sided, then double click on APB.TOS. Have a blank formatted
  16. disc ready as it makes a separate game disc.
  17.         Some of the files on this disc have been archived to save
  18. space and will need to be de-archived before they can be used.
  19. Archived files have the file extension .ARC and the utility to de-
  20. archive them is ARCX.TTP.
  21.         To de-archive, for example, the Protext help files and printer
  22. drivers stored in PROTEXT.ARC first copy ARCX.TTP and PROTEXT.ARC to a
  23. blank disc. Double click on ARCX.TTP and type PROTEXT into the box.
  24. The other archived files are de-archived this way too.
  25.         QUICKST.ARC on side 2 (run DOUBLE.TOS) speeds up your ST by as
  26. much as 900%. QINDEX.ARC will performance test your micro. Try it
  27. before and after loading QUICKST.
