  2.                      GOODIES - DESK ACCESSORY

  5.      The idea of having a single desk accessory that provides 
  6. multiple functions is not new, and recently commercial programs 
  7. such as Harlekin] from HiSoft have made the idea popular. Here at 
  8. ST USer we searched through the Public Domain to find the best 
  9. multi-function desk accessory we could find.
  10.  
  11.      Goodies provides all the functions that you could need inside 
  12. any application. Listed below is a brief explanation of the 
  13. features of Goodies.

  15. RAMDISK
  16.  
  17.      Ramdisks are always useful, wither for aiding file copy 
  18. operations on a single drive machine, or for storing temporary 
  19. workfiles. Goodies allows you to set both the size of the disk and 
  20. it's identifying letter. If you install a ram disk, then remember 
  21. to install an icon on the Desktop to allow you to access it.

  23. PRINT DIRECTORY
  24.  
  25.      Goodies will let you print out a complete directory of ant 
  26. disk, either hard or floppy. This is extremely useful for keeping 
  27. track of which programs are on which disk.

  29. SET TIME
  30.  
  31.      When you first boot up with Goodies installed, a dialog box 
  32. gives you the option to change the system time, a useful option if 
  33. your ST doesn't have a battery backed up clock.
  34.  
  35. SET DATE
  36.  
  37.      Like Set Time this option is displayed when your first boot 
  38. up.

  40. BACKUP
  41.  
  42.      Back up selected files from hard to floppy disk (or floppy to 
  43. floppy) whenever you need to with this handy function.

  45. UNDELETE
  46.  
  47.      If you accidently delete an important file, then Goodies will 
  48. get it back for you. Simply enter the complete file and pathname 
  49. for the lost file, and Goodies will do the rest.

  51. FILE COPY
  52.  
  53.      An improved version of the GEM Desktop filecopy routines, 
  54. this function will copy individual files much faster than GEM.
  55.  
  56.  
  57.      All these functions are available from a convenient iconized 
  58. from end, available from the Desk menu under the GOODIES entry.
