Atari ST User Disk Magazine
WELCOME to Atari ST User Disk Magazine - the first in a new regular feature.
Each month it will be packed with programming articles, hints and tips,
solutions to problems, the best utilities and PD packages available.
If GEM programming is giving you nightmares then our new GEM tutorial will
explain this difficult subject and banish those blues. Learn how to access GEM
using C and HiSoft Basic with this easy-to-read guide. This month's article
shows how to access the VDI.
Each month Programmer's Clinic will look at some of your problems and offer
solutions - this time STE SIMMs are explained and there are GFA BASIC routines
for reading TTP parameters. You may also be able to provide help for other
readers who are experiencing diffculties.
Phil Lawson's regular STOS column for games writers used to be in Atari ST
User, but is now on this disk. If you're writing games (or anything else for
that matter), using STOS then check out this month's column.
On the Goodies menu you'll find a host of essential utilities and amusing
games to play, like a Yamaha PSS editor for MIDI experts, Tiddlywinks for
younger computer users, Solitaire to exercise your grey matter and a superb PD
spreadsheet for business users.
Each month you'll also find sound samples - with replay software - and clip
art for inclusion into your own programs or DTP pages.
