Copy DEFSEL.PRG to the AUTO folder of your boot disc (not the Cover Disc) and boot up with it. Works in any resolution and replaces the standard Gem file selector with a new multi-function one. DEFSEL is the definitive file selector from a group of programmers known as Worlds Immarcescible.

Double click on DLII.PRG in the DLII folder _ works in medium resolution and monochrome. DL II, written by Simon Poole, is a powerfull multi-function disc utility program which has the following functions: Disk usage display, check FAT integrity, check for lost and crosslinked clusters, some disc fix functions, automatic and manual unerase, file attribute modification, disc editing (file or sector oriented), edit hard disc bootsector.
ReOrg

ReOrg (supplied by Simon Poole with his DLII utility), improves performance on hard and floppy discs through better placement of subdirectories and their files on disc, and through defragmentation of the files themselves. It will also remove deleted and zero length entries. Before running the utility first backup your disc and only run ReOrg after all crosslinked and lost clusters have been disposed of using DLII.
Pro-Ed

Double click on PROED.TTP in the PRO_ED folder and then enter the file to edit or press Return to create a new file. Works in medium resolution and monochrome. PRO-ED was written by Jerry Cole of Beavercreek, Oregon, and is a text editor designed specifically for the programmer to create and edit source code. This editor can be used to produce any type of document, but it does not attempt to replace a word processor. It has hundreds of key commands and functions so read the article in Atari ST User for instructions.
DirPrint

Rename DIRPRINT.ACX to DIRPRINT.ACC and boot up with the disc in the drive. Works in any resolution. DirPrint is a very simple, yet useful, desk accessory that has just one function: to print out a listing of all the files contained on a disc.
Debut

Double click on DEBUT.PRG to run the demo. Requires low resolution. Debut is an impressive planet simulation from Pandora in which the aim is to stabilise a planet's ecosystem and environment. You must rid the world of pollution and create a habitable enough atmosphere for people to be moved from the enclosed cities onto the surface. You start off with a mildly polluted planet and as the game progresses the cities will slowly pollute it to a greater extent _ a bit like planet Earth, really. You are not presented with a vast array of hardware in order to achieve your goal, but simple equipment that is around today.
Damocles

Copy DAMOCLES.ARC and ARCX.TTP to a blank disc. Double click on ARCX.TTP and enter DAMOCLES. Double click on DAMOCLES.PRG to run the demo. Works in low resolution. Damocles is the latest release from Novagen and it is a brilliantly absorbing game with high speed, solid 3D graphics. Erin is the fifth planet in the Gamma solar system, and in a few hours it is going to be smashed to pieces by the giant comet, Damocles. Your task is to fly to the planets in the solar system, search any cities you discover for objects and clues and utimately, save Erin from impending destruction. With nine planets and 19 moons there is much to explore and many places to visit.
