REMINDER CREATOR version 2.0 - 4 April 1992
-------------------------------------------
Program Filename: Gem Version: REM_20.PRG
Tos Version: REM_TOS.TOS
System Requirements: Any ST
Introduction
------------
These programs are designed for use with ACCLOAD by Klint Software;
specifically the GEM version takes advantage of features offered by
ACCLOAD v2.1 onwards.
REMINDER CREATOR facilitates the creation of both ordinary and anni-
versary reminders. These are arbitrarily long text files which live in
x:\AUTO\REMINDER (where x: is your boot disc: A:, C: etc).
For more information on filenames, see the documentation for ACCLOAD.
How to Use REM_20.PRG
---------------------
The program makes use of GEM and uses OK and Exit buttons, which
perform as expected.
You select which sort of reminder you want to create via the radio
buttons below the "Reminder Type" heading. Selecting "Standard" pro-
duces one-shot reminders, which only work on one day (unless you've
got a TARDIS). Anniversary reminders work each year (unless you delete
them) and are useful for birthdays etc.
You can edit the date for the reminder in the usual way, and pressing
RETURN or clicking on OK takes you to another form which gives you two
lines for you to enter your text.
There is no check made for date correctness: it's up to you to double
check before you click OK!
Clicking on Exit at any time quits the program.
The program runs best in Hi rez, but works equally well in Medium rez.
Unfortunately, Low rez was asking a bit much!
How to Use REM_TOS.TOS
----------------------
This does not use GEM and is provided so that you have a reminder
craetor you can call from ACCLOAD. Because it doesn't use GEM, it
isn't as fun to use, and you even have to enter the '-'s in the date
yourself!
Having said that, it works and is probably OK until I can be bothered
to make REM_20.PRG into an accessory.
-------
These programs are virtually useless without ACCLOAD. If you don't
have a copy of ACCLOAD, you can obtain one from the address below.

REMINDER CREATOR v2.0 by Klint (Me! Read about Limestone Pavements in
any good geology book) is FreeWare and you are free to use it however
you like. It has been fully tested on both floppy and hard disc based
colour and mono systems and there are no known bugs PROVIDED that it
is used in accordance with this documentation. No responsibility is
accepted by the author for any damage caused by the misuse of this
program.
You may freely distribute REMINDER CREATOR at will but this DOC file
MUST be included.

£5 and a disk will get you the very latest versions of BOTH programs.
Development planned:
ACCLOAD - Automatically run a list of named programs in order
to keep AUTO folder tidy
REMINDER - Auto-sensing version which will work as a TOS or GEM
program and also as an accessory
Thanks to Andrew Baxter & Andrew Dodd for invaluable TOS1.2 & 1.6
testing.
