  13. Please note that zzSoft retain copyright of Easy Text Plus, and 
  14. therefore Easy Text Plus should not be distributed as shareware 
  15. or PD. The fonts are copyright ATARI Corp.

  17. The version of Easy Text Plus on the ST User magazine March issue 
  18. is the latest version, 1.4a, as are associated files. However, on the 
  19. original disc (from zzSoft) more fonts and an IMG file to DEGAS 
  20. file converter utility are available.

  22. The ST User version comes with an installation program (INSTPLUS.PRG)
  23. for 3 types of printer:
  24.  
  25. 1. 9-pin Epson compatible (aka FX80 compatible) dot-matrix 
  26. printers, eg Star LC10, Amstrad DMP 3000 - 99% of all 9-pin dot 
  27. matrix printers. Printer output resolution is 120*144 dpi.
  28.  
  29. 2. 24-pin Epson compatible (aka LQ compatible) dot-matrix 
  30. printers, eg Star LC24-10 and most if not all other 24 pin-
  31. printers. Printer output resolution is 180*180 dpi.

  33. 3. Cannon bubblejet 10ex in Epson LQ mode. Please note that the 
  34. printer program (after installation) will state Epson LQ - this 
  35. is ok. Printer output resolution is 180*180 dpi.

  37. Please note that BJ10e owners can use Easy Text Plus but cannot 
  38. use the LQ driver version. You need a different driver that can 
  39. print @ 360*360 dpi. This driver is also suitable for the BJ10ex 
  40. @ 360*360 dpi.

  42. Easy Text Plus runs on any ST(E) in mono or med res.

  122. Easy Text Professional Vector
  123. -----------------------------
  124. Easy Text Professional Vector (£39.95 inc p&p) is available for specific
  125. use with SpeedoGDOS (vector font system). You need 2 megs of RAM and a 
  126. hard drive, or 2 1/2-4 megs of RAM and a RAM disk (provided with full 
  127. instructions). SpeedoGDOS must be bought separately. For more details 
  128. phone or write zzSoft.

  130. Printers & problems
  131. -------------------
  132. Printer problems: make sure that your printer is setup in EPSON mode not
  133. IBM mode. You may need to alter your dip switches. EZT+ works with the 
  134. majority of modern printers: exceptions include old (>4 years old) 9-pin 
  135. OKI printers (but we may be able to help).
  136.  
  137. Easy Text+ does not print in colour but can be used in mono on a colour
  138. dot-matrix printer.
  139.  
  140. Saving Easy Text+ files.
  141. ------------------------
  142. Always use the file extension EZM for med res or EZ1 for hi res files. 
  143. Example: TEST.EZM (med res), TEST.EZ1 (hi res). If you don't do this the 
  144. printer program will not be able to locate the files for printing and you 
  145. won't be able to load the file back into Easy Text+.
