TS 803: SYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATIONS
The modem port on the TS 803 can be modified for synchronous com-
munications. Perform the following steps for this modification:
1. Remove the system logic board from the unit.
2. Locate jumper pads A through H on the board. These pads are
adjacent to the Z80 STI device at location A18 on the board.
3. The standard configuration for these jumpers is as follows:
A B----C Jumpers: B to C
| H C to D
| D to E
| G D to G
F----E----D----I E to F
4. Cut traces between B and C, E and D, D and G.
5. Add jumpers between A and B, F and E, G and H.
6. The final board configuration should be as follows:
A----B C Jumpers: A to B
| H C to D
| | E to F
| G H to G
F----E D
ALL: MATERIALS INCLUDED WITH TELEVIDEO SYSTEMS SHIPMENTS
The CBIOS diskette and CP/M manual are no longer included with
the systems. They are avialable from TeleVideo and will be
shipped upon request.
VARIOUS: ADDING EXPANSION MEMORY DEVICES
The TS 803, TS 1602G, and Remote Workstation Processor (RWP) have
provisions for expanding on-board memory. Instructions are fully
detailed in the Field Bulletin for May, 1983, Issue Number 19.
