  5.                        TS 803: SYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATIONS
  6.  
  7.         The modem port on the TS 803 can be modified for synchronous com-
  8.         munications.  Perform the following steps for this modification:
  9.  
  10.         1.  Remove the system logic board from the unit.
  11.  
  12.         2.  Locate jumper pads A through H on the board.   These pads are
  13.         adjacent to the Z80 STI device at location A18 on the board.
  14.  
  15.         3.  The standard configuration for these jumpers is as follows:
  16.  
  17.             A     B----C                   Jumpers: B to C
  18.                        |    H                       C to D
  19.                        |                            D to E
  20.                        |    G                       D to G
  21.              F----E----D----I                       E to F
  22.  
  23.         4.  Cut traces between  B and C, E and D, D and G.
  24.  
  25.         5.  Add jumpers between A and B, F and E, G and H.
  26.  
  27.         6.  The final board configuration should be as follows:

  29.             A----B    C                    Jumpers: A to B
  30.                       |    H                        C to D
  31.                       |    |                        E to F
  32.                       |    G                        H to G
  33.             F----E    D

  37.         The  CBIOS  diskette  and CP/M manual are no longer included with
  38.         the systems.   They are avialable  from  TeleVideo  and  will  be
  39.         shipped upon request.

  41.                      VARIOUS:  ADDING EXPANSION MEMORY DEVICES
  42.  
  43.         The TS 803, TS 1602G, and Remote Workstation Processor (RWP) have
  44.         provisions for expanding on-board memory.  Instructions are fully
  45.         detailed in the Field Bulletin for May, 1983, Issue Number 19.
