In addition to the usual printing characters, ASCII characters 032 through
126, FONTDISP provides for printing the following ASCII characters:
020 (^T) 021 (^U) 022 (^V) 023 (^W)
024 (^X) 028 (^\) 029 (^]) 030 (^^) 031 (^_)
ASCII characters 024 and 028 through 031 are apparently used as printing
characters in some of the new FancyFont V2.1 fonts. I simply took this a
little further and use these seven extra characters in my heavy use fonts such
as ROMN12M. In PFONT V1.7 these characters are identified in the text files
with the \d embedded command. For my own convenience I have added ASCII
characters 020 through 023 to some of my modified fonts to provide fonts with
up to 105 characters.
Two of the regular ASCII printing characters, 126 (~) and 96 (back quote), do
not appear on the ACTRIX keyboard. Both can be accessed in PFONT with the \d
embedded command. ASCII character 126 (~) can also be accessed with SHIFT-DEL
key.
Read FONTDISP.DOC for program operating instructions.
