PmDraw - Beta Version for Professional Developer's Kit
for OS/2 2.0
by Alan C. Warren, IBM
PmDraw is IBM Employee Written Software (EWS) and is
governed by the separate document on EWS software. Please
understand these terms.
PmDraw is an application designed for presentation graphics,
including limited graphing. It is designed to take advantage
of several OS/2 features, including threads (i.e. menu options
can be selected even while an image is redrawing or loading).
To install PmDraw, place all the files in their own directory
(e.g. \PMDRAW). Create a program object by dragging a Program
template from the Templates folder to any desired folder.
Then, in the Path and file name field, enter x:\path\PMDRAW.EXE
(replacing "x" and "path" as appropriate). In the Working
directory field enter x:\path (again, replacing "x" and "path"
as appropriate). Click on the General tab, and change the name
of the program object from Program to PmDraw. Close the settings
notebook. To start PmDraw, simply double click on this program
object.
Once you have started PmDraw, you are prompted to open a file or
start a new drawing. Sample clipart is provided, so you may choose
to open an existing drawing if you wish. Then PmDraw will present
a grid, with any drawing selected, along with the available menu
options. For further help on using PmDraw, select Help -> Extended
Help. The online help information may be printed for convenience.
Certain PmDraw features involving image files (BMP, GIF) require the
Image Toolkit, available on the OS/2 Professional Developer's Kit
CD-ROM, which may be ordered from IBM.
