  6.     PostNews <newsfile -f user -r "realname" -R reffile -x delfile

  8. DESCRIPTION
  9.  
  10.     Postnews posts news by UUXing an RNews file constructed according
  11.     to specifications.
  12.  
  13.     The newsfile is normally generated by the user and contains the
  14.     NewsGroups:, Subject:, and Distribution: lines.

  16.     If -f is not specified, the user name is extracted from the
  17.     enviroment first (ENV:USERNAME),  UserName config entry second.
  18.  
  19.     If -r is not specified, the user's real name is extracted from the
  20.     enviroment first (ENV:REALNAME),  RealName config entry second.

  22.     If -R is specified, its associated file contains one or more header
  23.     lines (no blank lines) to be included in the news.  This file is
  24.     normally generated by the news reading program (for example, to
  25.     generate the References: line) and is not usually editable by the
  26.     user.

  28.     Any files specified with the -x option are deleted after the news
  29.     is queued.  Up to 32 files may be specified.  This allows you to
  30.     RUN postnews in the background and have it clean up after you when
  31.     it is done.
