  2. A new version of my utility ToolManager is ready. I hope you'll like it!

  6. ReadMe for ToolManager 2.0                                          26.09.1992

  8.    ToolManager is a flexible program to manage the tools in your working
  9. environment. It can start Workbench and CLI programs as well as ARexx
  10. scripts. The user interface consists of menus, icons or dock windows.
  11.  
  12. For further information please read the documentation.
  13.  
  14. BEWARE: This program makes heavily use of the new 2.0 functions, so it's
  15.         completely useless to all people who are still using 1.3. To get
  16.         the full functionality you should run it *only* under 2.04.
  17.  
  18. USAGE: Open the ToolManager drawer and double click the Install icon. After
  19.        removing any older ToolManager versions, double click the ToolManager
  20.        icon in the WBStartup drawer. Use the preferences editor to create
  21.        your configuration.

  23. New features since 1.5:

  25.         - Complete new concept (object oriented)
  26.  
  27.         - (Almost) Complete rewrite
  28.  
  29.         - ToolManager is now split up into two parts
  30.  
  31.         - Main handler is now embedded into a shared library
  32.  
  33.         - Configuration is now handled by a Preferences program
  34.  
  35.         - Configuration file format has changed again :-) It is an IFF
  36.           File now and resides in ENV:

  38.         - Multiple Docks and multi-column Docks
  39.  
  40.         - Docks with new window design
  41.  
  42.         - Dock automatically detects largest image size
  43.  
  44.         - Sound support
  45.  
  46.         - Direct ARexx support for Exec objects
  47.  
  48.         - ToolManager can be used without the Workbench. If the
  49.           Workbench isn't running, it won't use any App* features.

  51.         - Locale support

  53.         - Path from Workbench will be used for CLI tools
  54.  
  55.         - Seperate Handler Task for starting WB processes
