REAL 3D EXAMPLE DISK #3
-----------------------
This disk, which is in the public domain, contains the following
Real 3D object and scene (animation) files:
Objects drawer/Head
-------------------
This object file represents a human head. It is constructed with quite
few points so that editing of the shape is relatively easy. To get
good quality shaded images of the head, remap it to at least 40*20
points.
Scenes drawer/HeadMorphing
--------------------------
A 50 frame animation file, which contains two key frames for creating an
animation showing a head appearing from a flat plane.
To render the HeadMorphing animation file:
- Load the file
- Activate the object 'head'
- Select Animation->Morphing and click OK
- Go to the solid model, set suitable rendering options and start rendering
To render the 50 frame animation, you need about 5 megabytes of RAM memory.
If you have less, either remap the head in the first and the last frame to
smaller point density (say 30 * 20) or remove frames from the middle of the
animation before using the Animation->Morphing function.
There is a ready-made miniature size delta-animation file rendered from
the scene included in the Pictures drawer, too.
Scenes drawer/GlassHead
-----------------------
Another scene file containing the head, this time made out of glass.
Scenes drawer/Hand
------------------
This file contains a scene of a shiny robot hand. The hand has a correct
hierarchical structure, so that it can be animated e.g. using the key
frame function.
A shaded image based on this scene is contained in the Pictures drawer.
Some hints
----------
If you want to make the head reflective (like a chrome head), activate
its Info/NOREFLECT field. This guarantees fast enough rendering.
