  7. This file contains the latest information regarding FM Applic
  8. (NT).  For more information, please read the following files:

  15. Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1d

  18. 1.  Now checks to see if the application's program file is valid
  19.     when the user presses the "Add" button in the Configure
  20.     dialog box.  If the path is invalid, a message dialog
  21.     appears with "Setup", "Ignore", and "Cancel" buttons.

  23. 2.  If FM Applic attempts to run an application with an invalid
  24.     program file, an error message appears with the *name*
  25.     of the offending file.

  27. Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1c

  30. 1.  Problems with the installation program were fixed.
  31.     Also, install is a little bit friendlier.

  33. 2.  The "AutoArrangeMenu" settings was added to
  34.     [Settings] section of FMAPPLIC.INI.  For more details,

  50. 1.  Removes temporary files left from previous executions.

  52. 2.  Problems with toolbar buttons disappearing from the
  53.     toolbar has been fixed.

  61. New Features with Version 1.1
  62. -----------------------------
  63.  
  64. The following new features were introduced with FM Applic 1.1:
  65.  
  66.    o Auto-Load Application Icons Stay on Top of the File Manager
  67.  
  68.      The "Keep On Top" option has been added to the Application
  69.      Properties dialog box.  If you select this option, the
  70.      application's icon will stay on top of the File Manager
  71.      window.  
  72.  
  73.      This feature allows you to Drag-Drop files to your
  74.      auto-load applications even if the File Manager window is
  75.      expanded to full size.

  77.    o "Crop" Icon Shrinkage Method
  78.  
  79.      The "Crop" icon shrinkage method has been added to the
  80.      Change Button dialog box.  If you select this option, a
  81.      16x15 section from the upper left hand corner of the icon
  82.      is copied pixel for pixel, to the toolbar button (i.e. no
  83.      shrinkage is performed).
  84.  
  85.      This feature allows you to create a custom toolbar button
  86.      using your favorite icon editor. Create your image in the
  87.      upper left hand corner (16 pixels wide by 15 pixels high)
  88.      of the icon.

  90.    o "Unknown" File Status in File Prompt (%@FP) Argument Field
  91.  
  92.      The File Prompt argument field now accepts UNKNOWN as a
  93.      keyword for file-status.  Use this keyword if the
  94.      application can accept a new file or an existing file. This
  95.      will display a File Name dialog box.
  96.  
  97.    o NTFS Long Filenames Supported
  98.  
  99.      The "Long Filenames" option has been added to the
  100.      Application Properties dialog box.  Select this option if
  101.      the application supports NTFS long filenames.

  104. Known Problems
  105. --------------
  106.  
  107. 1.  Auto-loaded Windows 3.1 applications do not get closed
  108.     when the File Manager exits.
  109.  
  110. 2.  "Keep On Top" does not work with Windows 3.1 applications.
  111.  
  112. 3.  When installing over an existing installation of FM Applic, and
  113.     you are using the File Manager, the position of application
  114.     toolbar buttons may be reset (messed up).  Simply choose the
  115.     "Costomize Toolbar" command from the File Manager's "Options"
  116.     menu.  Then you can restore the buttons back to their original
  117.     positions.
