F M A P P L I C ( N T ) 1 . 1 d
------------------------------------
February 6, 1994
This file contains the latest information regarding FM Applic
(NT). For more information, please read the following files:
AAINTRO.TXT - Introduction to FM Applic.
INSTALL.TXT - Installation instructions.
REGISTER.TXT - Important registration information.
Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1d
-------------------------------
1. Now checks to see if the application's program file is valid
when the user presses the "Add" button in the Configure
dialog box. If the path is invalid, a message dialog
appears with "Setup", "Ignore", and "Cancel" buttons.
2. If FM Applic attempts to run an application with an invalid
program file, an error message appears with the *name*
of the offending file.
Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1c
-------------------------------
1. Problems with the installation program were fixed.
Also, install is a little bit friendlier.
2. The "AutoArrangeMenu" settings was added to
[Settings] section of FMAPPLIC.INI. For more details,
See "Anatomy of FMAPPLIC.INI" in the on-line help.
3. Documentation was updated with new mailing address
and credit card ordering information. New address:

See REGISTER.TXT for ordering information.
Fixes/Updates with Version 1.1b
---------------------------------
1. Removes temporary files left from previous executions.
2. Problems with toolbar buttons disappearing from the
toolbar has been fixed.
3. More "application descriptions" were added.
4. Icon buttons available in FMAPPLIC.DLL. Use the "crop"
icon shrinkage method to view them properly.
New Features with Version 1.1
-----------------------------
The following new features were introduced with FM Applic 1.1:
o Auto-Load Application Icons Stay on Top of the File Manager
The "Keep On Top" option has been added to the Application
Properties dialog box. If you select this option, the
application's icon will stay on top of the File Manager
window.
This feature allows you to Drag-Drop files to your
auto-load applications even if the File Manager window is
expanded to full size.
o "Crop" Icon Shrinkage Method
The "Crop" icon shrinkage method has been added to the
Change Button dialog box. If you select this option, a
16x15 section from the upper left hand corner of the icon
is copied pixel for pixel, to the toolbar button (i.e. no
shrinkage is performed).
This feature allows you to create a custom toolbar button
using your favorite icon editor. Create your image in the
upper left hand corner (16 pixels wide by 15 pixels high)
of the icon.
o "Unknown" File Status in File Prompt (%@FP) Argument Field
The File Prompt argument field now accepts UNKNOWN as a
keyword for file-status. Use this keyword if the
application can accept a new file or an existing file. This
will display a File Name dialog box.
o NTFS Long Filenames Supported
The "Long Filenames" option has been added to the
Application Properties dialog box. Select this option if
the application supports NTFS long filenames.
Known Problems
--------------
1. Auto-loaded Windows 3.1 applications do not get closed
when the File Manager exits.
2. "Keep On Top" does not work with Windows 3.1 applications.
3. When installing over an existing installation of FM Applic, and
you are using the File Manager, the position of application
toolbar buttons may be reset (messed up). Simply choose the
"Costomize Toolbar" command from the File Manager's "Options"
menu. Then you can restore the buttons back to their original
positions.
