This disc is quite unique in that it is designed to work on both Apple Macintosh and IBM Personal Computer compatible machines. With that said, there are unfortunate instances where certain applications designed for both platforms only work under one operating system. Please keep in mind that we are aware of these so-called "bugs", and that future discs will be void of such frustration. However, we believe that these discs will add to the quality of Next Generation, and serve as a catalyst for future, more impressive projects.
You will have many questions that a simple ReadMe(.txt) file cannot answer. We invite you to e-mail us at the address below, and be sure that we will respond in a reasonable amount of time. We want your reaction to this disc. Your recommendations and comments will be seen by our disc editors. Feel free to write us at: ugp_ng_discs@imagine-inc.com
Please note the following known difficulties for Next Generation Disc Edition 1:
Q: "I can't see any movies."
A: You must have Apple QuickTime installed on your computer to view the Preview movies. Apple QuickTime is provided in the Setup folder at startup.
Q: "The sound capability on the Personal Computer side of the disc is somewhat temperamental."
A: Try resetting the sound slider below the Next Generation logo when viewing a movie without sound. If using Microsoft Windows95, check your audio settings if you do not encounter sound when viewing QuickTime movies.
Q: "The rotating Next Generation logo really slowed down my DX2/66 PC compatible."
A: Yes, we know better now, and we're sorry; the logo will not reappear. We're implementing new graphics for future revisions.
Q: "How do I get back to the Previews screen? (Or any screen for that matter?)"
A: Use the Title Bar (located at the top of the screen) to navigate backward from any location. The Title Bar acts as a reverse button, and also indicates where you are on the disc.
We suggest the following minimum system requirements to those who use our disc:

Macintosh: System 7 or higher; 68040/25Mhz; 8MB of RAM; 2X CD-ROM drive; Modem recommended (14.4 Kbps minimum)
Please keep in mind that some game manufacturers are optimizing for higher system requirements than stated above, therefore certain titles may not be accessible to persons with system requirements similar to those suggested by Imagine Publishing.
