<p>If you started tracking your paycheck in Money during the tax year and you want to use the Tax Estimator and the Tax Withholding Estimator, you need to enter the amount you have paid and had withheld so far this year. Money can then more accurately project your tax payments for the year.</p>

<li>On the <emph>Taxes</emph> menu, click <emph>Tax Estimator</emph>.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Estimated taxes paid and withheld</emph> to go to the Tax Line Manager for federal withholding.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Add</emph>, click <emph>Additional income or spending that's not in my Money file</emph>, and then click <emph>Next</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Description</emph> box, type a description such as "2001 YTD taxes".</li>
<li>In the <emph>Amount</emph> box, enter tax paid and withheld so far this year, not including any transactions you have entered in Money.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Date</emph> box, enter the current date, and then click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>
