<p>Money 2002's new features make it easier than ever to set up your files, manage your finances, and reach your financial goals. You can read about Money's new features anytime by typing "what's new" in the Ask Money box in the bottom right corner of your screen.</p>
<p><emph>Get started with less hassle</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Setup Assistant.</emph> Use the Money Setup Assistant to get off to a good start. The Setup Assistant guides you through entering your basic information. Plus you can set up your accounts to download information online, sign up for a Passport, choose your financial priorities, and set up for roaming and synchronization with MSN Money on the Web.</li>
<li><emph>Online Services Manager.</emph> Learn about online financial institutions and set up your online accounts<mdash/>all in one place. Find out when your financial institution starts offering online services or offers new services.</li>
<li><emph>Login Wizard.</emph> When you are setting up your accounts with a bank or broker, Money walks you through the necessary steps to get your logon information with that financial institution.</li>
<li><emph>Login Lockbox.</emph> You can store and remember your logon names, numbers, and passwords with your various financial institutions in Money.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Customize your Home page and priorities</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Home page.</emph>See current information about your accounts and bills, your investments, your financial planning, and your taxes<mdash/>all in one place. You can quickly choose from nine Home page views, or customize the Home page to show the information you are most interested in.</li>
<li><emph>Priorities.</emph> Scan the goals and tasks that are most important to you<mdash/>now grouped by category for easy scanning. Click each priority to see a description and go to a full page of information.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Find your way around Money</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Toolbars.</emph> Customize Money's new toolbar and get quick access to features, accounts, reports, and the MSN Web site. The status bar indicates your online and background call status at all times.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Keep your accounts up to date automatically</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Background Banking.</emph> Have Money automatically connect to the Web to keep your account and investing information up to date. Set up a schedule for how often you want to download information automatically and when you want your information refreshed.</li>
<li><emph>Money status bar.</emph> Know exactly when Money is updating your file online, and see what information is being updated.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Stay on top of your day-to-day finances</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Easy online bill pay.</emph> Use the simplified setup and online bill-paying system to pay your bills through Money.</li>
<li><emph>Streamlined bill-pay setup.</emph> Schedule upcoming bills quickly. Edit up to 12 future instances of a bill. Specify the number of payments or ending date, and see your bills on the integrated calendar.</li>
<li><emph>Improved cash flow review.</emph> Choose how you want to project your cash flow, including whether you want to show or hide any transaction. Edit later occurrences of upcoming bills. Specify an interest rate for interest-bearing accounts. Track your expense categories as fixed or discretionary to get a better picture of how you're doing.</li>
<li><emph>More control over your budget.</emph> Money's budget gives you more control over how you want to track your income and expenses. </li>
<li><emph>Improved register functions.</emph> Accidentally delete a transaction? Use Undo Delete to restore the last transaction. View just the transactions in a custom date range, and use the improved Find and Replace tool. Point to a split transaction and see the category and subcategory information. Mark transactions that you want to go back to later with a follow-up flag.</li>
<li><emph>Register reconciliation.</emph> Have Money automatically reconcile your account registers. Your new transactions are listed in bold and marked as cleared.</li>

<p><emph>Get more out of your reports and charts</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Improved report functions.</emph> See the underlying transactions for totals such as "all other" or "transfers." Choose where to see the legend in relation to a chart. Zoom in on mini-charts on the Home page. </li>
<li><emph>Report enhancements. </emph> Sort and resize columns in tabular reports, and rearrange, sort, and change colors in charts and graphs. Point to an area of a chart to see more information. View "broken bar" charts when widely disparate values in a chart would otherwise distort the view.</li>
<li><emph>New chart for income and spending.</emph>See your income versus spending over a period of time.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Use Money anywhere</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Passport. </emph>Sign up for Passport when you set up Money 2002, and learn about Passport's increased privacy and security.</li>
<li><emph>MSN Money synchronization.</emph>Enter transactions in MSN Money on the Web and see them in your account register in Money<mdash/>and vice versa.</li>
<li><emph>MoneySide. </emph>View relevant Money information and tools in a separate pane when you're on the Web. For example, see investing, shopping, or banking scenarios and tools when you are visiting related Web sites.</li>
<li><emph>Send to. </emph>Send your data or charts to anyone via e-mail.</li>
</ul>
<p><emph>Other new features</emph></p>
<ul>
<li><emph>Tax program integration. </emph>Use your information with TaxCut or TaxCut online.</li>
<li><emph>Up-to-date Help. </emph>Money automatically updates your Help topics when you connect to the Web.</li>
