<p>You might want to send a report from your Money file to another member of your family or household, or to a financial planner or tax professional.</p>
<p>To send a report, you need Internet access and an e-mail provider. When you're ready to send the report, Money will open your e-mail program and create a new e-mail message for you. You can add a note to the message before you send it.</p>
<p>You can choose to send any report in your Money file as it appears on your screen, or you can send it with the data that Money used to create it. If you send it with the data, the recipient can choose to view your report in a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel, or view it in the e-mail message. </p>
<p>For example, when you send a pie chart describing where you spend your money:</p>

<li>You can send it as it appears.</li>
<li>You can send it as a chart with <glossary>CSV data</glossary> or <glossary>XML data</glossary>. The recipient can open it with a spreadsheet program and read it as a report as well. In order to read either of these attachments, the recipient needs to have a program that can open it. CSV is an older format, and can be displayed in most spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel. XML is a much newer format. Some financial advisors may have programs that can read XML. It's best to ask the recipient which format would be better for them.</li>

<p>A good rule of thumb is to send reports without supporting data if the recipient just needs to get the big picture. If, on the other hand, the recipient wants to manipulate the data or use it in a software program on their own computer, you should send supporting data along with it.</p>
<p>Some e-mail programs are more difficult for Money to open. If Money can't open your e-mail program, you can send the report to your desktop, open your e-mail program, find the report on your desktop, and attach it to your e-mail message. Money can work with many free e-mail services, such as Hotmail. So if you frequently send Money reports by e-mail, you may want to consider signing up for one of these e-mail services.</p>
