<p>Many banks will automatically renew, or continue, your <glossary>Certificate of Deposit</glossary> unless you instruct them otherwise. Enter the details of the renewal in a single transaction in Money.</p>

<ol>
<li>On the <emph>Investing</emph> menu, click <emph>Portfolio</emph>.</li>
<li>Click the investment account that contains the CD.</li>
<li>At the bottom of the page, click <emph>New</emph>.</li>
<li>Enter the details of the transaction:</li>
<ul>
<li>In the <emph>Activity</emph> box, click <emph>Renew CD</emph>.</li>
<li>In the <emph>Value</emph> box, enter the value of your CD, minus the interest.</li>
</ul>
<li>Click <emph>Enter</emph>.</li>
<li>Follow the instructions on your screen to enter the renewal details.</li>
<li>Click <emph>Finish</emph>.</li>
</ol>
<p variant="note">Renewing a CD creates two transactions (redeem and buy) in both the Investment Transactions and Cash Transactions portion of the investment.</p>
