<li>On the <emph>Tools</emph> menu, click <emph>Customize Advisor FYI</emph>.</li>
<li>Click the <emph>Monthly Spending</emph> tab.</li>
<li>Select the category you want to set or change.</li>
<li>If you want to set a new spending limit, select the <emph>Tell me when my monthly spending in this category is </emph>check box.</li>
<li>Select the type of spending limit you want to set:</li>
<ul>
<li>To set a dollar amount as your limit, select the option, and then enter the amount.</li>
<li>To limit your spending according to your budget, select the budget option you want.</li>
</ul>
<li>Click <emph>OK</emph>.</li>

<p variant="note">If you want to view certain spending thermometers on the Home page, select the category you want to view and then select the <emph>Show thermometer on Money Home page</emph> check box.</p>
