Autodesk Animation Player for Windows
=====================================
This section contains information pertinent to Autodesk Animation
Player for Windows.
New Features for Version 1.1
----------------------------
There are two new features in Autodesk Animation Player for Windows
version 1.1 that are not documented in the current documentation.
Copy
----
A new Copy menu command can be found in the Edit menu. This
feature copies the image of the current frame to the
clipboard. Once the image is copied, it can be pasted into
other documents.
Resize Window
-------------
Resize Window is a new menu command in the Options menu. When
this option is selected, the animation window will resize to
exactly fit an animation when it is opened. The state of this
option is set to the last setting when the Animation Player is
started.
Converting an Animation File
----------------------------
It is recommended that you convert animation files to be used with
Autodesk Animation Player for Windows with the Convert Anim
option, located in the File menu. This may help maintain the
correct colors in an animation, and eliminate "flashes" that can
sometimes occur between animations while playing a script.
Microsoft Windows uses 20 of the 256 colors available for the
Windows desktop, leaving only 236 colors available for your
animation. Convert Anim converts the animation palette to a
palette that is more compatible with Windows. For more information
about Convert Anim, see the Autodesk Animation Player for Windows
Reference Manual.

Autodesk Animation Player for Windows Reference Manual, page 26:
Videodisc
---------
If you want to play a portion of a videodisc, select this
device. Identify the sound by specifying a start time and
stop time in this format:
from pos to pos
In this case, pos (position) is a time in hh:mm:ss format.
Your videodisc player might display position in this format,
or it might display position as a frame number. To convert
from frame numbers to time, divide by 30 to get seconds, and
then convert to hh:mm:ss format. The from position must be at
least 1 second. For example, enter
from 0:0:1 to 0:4:0
to play 4 minutes on the disc.
Using Continue Sound and Repeat in a Script
-------------------------------------------
You must set Repeat in the Animation Settings dialog to the same
value for each flic in a script if you are using Continue Sound
and want a repeating sound to continue playing through the sequence
of flics.
New Configuration Switch for Full Screen
----------------------------------------
A new configuration switch has been added to select the method used
to switch between Windows and full screen mode. The switch is
added to the [AAPLAY Animation] section of WIN.INI while the
Animation Player is being installed.
The switch is: Int2fSwitch=xxx
Where xxx is yes or no. The default is no. In most cases the
default setting should be used. If you experience display problems
while attempting to play a flic in full screen mode, you may want
to try changing the switch setting to yes. Some display
configurations may require this alternate setting to run the Player
in full screen mode. Setting Int2fSwitch=yes will cause the
Animation Player to use interrupt 2f to switch between Windows and
full screen mode. Int2fSwitch=no will cause the Animation Player
to use PhysicalDisable and PhysicalEnable to make the switch.
