Updating from V1.2 to V1.3
--------------------------
This applies if you currently have V1.2 and don't want to retype the
settings in the [CONFIG] section of MORAYPOV.CFG. If you don't mind
retyping some of that stuff, then simply extract all the files in the
ZIP.
You basically only need MORAY.EXE and MORAYPOV.CFG. The MDL directory
now contains the two missing scene files PAWNS.MDL and SAMPL1.MDL as
well as a couple of new ones demonstrating various primitives or
features of MORAY. The ones that were in the last release have also been
improved in places.
So you can unzip the ZIP and answer 'No' to all overwrite requests, except
MORAY.EXE, MORAYPOC.CFG and the MDL files.
There are a couple of new files, too, see the README file for a filelist.
If you have made changes to MORAYPOV.CFG that you don't want to lose,
then you need to update it manually. Do this by saving a copy of the CFG
file and extracting the CFG from the V1.3 archive. Then copy the [CONFIG]
section from your copy to this newly extracted file, but leave the
following lines from the new MORAYPOV.CFG :
SnapValues 0.25 0.25 0.25 ; Values for X, Y and Z snap distance
WireFrameDivs 10 10 10 10 10 ; for sphere, cyl cone, torus, spot
CamRedrawLimit 10 ; If 3D redraws take longer, don't do them
ObjRedrawLimit 5 ; If 2D redraws take longer, try use bound
.. and change the GraphicsMode setting to read one of the following:
640x480x16 ; VGA
800x600x16 ; SVGA / VESA
1024x768x16 ; SVGA / VESA
640x480x256 ; SVGA / VESA
800x600x256 ; SVGA / VESA
1024x768x256 ; SVGA / VESA
Please read WHATSNEW.130 for details of all changes between V1.3 and
V1.2.
