- Cpress Update
-
-
- This update is to take care some error handling that was
- not put in the first uploaded version.
-
- If you tried to compress a non data file, you would lose it
- because unfortunately Opl is not returning an error when you
- try to compress a non data file, it just doesn't do anything.
- Since no error was reported, Cpress thinks the file was
- compressed, and deletes the original.
-
- There is no problem with compressing data files. I added a small
- piece of code to warn you if you try to compress a non data
- file now.
-
- There is only a problem if this code is used as a stand alone, and
- you tried to compress a .wrd file for example , you would lose the
- file.
-
- The program is provided mainly as a help file to use inside your
- own Opl programs, in which case this error would not come up,
- because you would only have a .dbf or .odb file open. (or your own
- extension.)
-
- Let me know if you have any other problems with it.
- The code is provided on a shareware basis. If it saves you time, and
- you can use it, send $15 to Pelican Software Inc.
-
- Pelican Software Inc. will accept no responsability for any loss of
- data resulting from the use of this code.
- Although if used correctly , it should work without fail.
