  2. GOLF-PRO - V 1.1 for the Psion Series 5MX

  5. The first true 3D Psion Golf Simulation with 360 degree rotatable view,
  6. realistic physics, high quality 16 greyscale graphics, smooth animation,
  7. variable wind speed and direction, variable Green slope gradient & direction,
  8. Score Card with 'Best Ever' scores for each hole,
  9. Multiple courses (available soon).

  12. Golfer comments, Croud laughter, clapping, cheering and more.

  25. INSTALLATION

  28. The minimum installation is 333k, the maximum installation is 536k.
  29.  
  30. Turn on your Series 5, press the System icon (bottom left of the screen),
  31. press the Menu key, under 'Tools' select 'Preferences', make sure that there is
  32. a tick next to 'show system folder' and click on 'OK'.

  34. Go into either C:\System\Apps\ or D:\System\Apps\
  35.  
  36. From the menu, under 'File' select 'Make new folder' name it 'Golf-Pro'.
  37.  
  38. Copy all the files except README.TXT into this directory.
  39.  
  40. If you wish to save space, you may omit some or all of the sound files, but I
  41. recomend trying the game with the sounds as they make it much more fun.

  43. Pressing the 'Extras' button (bottom right of screen) will now reveal
  44. this programs icon, select it to begin.
  45.  
  46. If Golf-Pro does not run, try renaming its folder to a different name,
  47. wait a few seconds and then rename it back to the correct name.

  49. If you have difficulty with installation, re-read and follow carefully
  50. the above instructions, you have probably put the files in the wrong place,
  51. or named the folder incorectly.

  54. Upgrading from an earlier version

  57. Follow the installation instructions above, overwriting the existing files
  58. on you Series 5. Do not copy the file 'Brighton.CRS' if you want to keep
  59. your course records.

  62. TROUBLESHOOTING

  65. If you have a problem, check that your batteries are not low, and that there is
  66. plenty of memory available to the program. Sometimes the Series 5 fails to play
  67. sounds when batteries are becoming low, but are not quite low enough for the
  68. Series 5 to report them as low. If in doubt, change the batteries.

  70. Check that you have followed the installation instructions correctly.

  77. explaining the problem in as much detail as possible, stateing what machine you
  78. are running the program on, what version you are running, what files have been
  79. put where, at what point in the programs execution the error happened, and what
  80. error messages, if any, were given.

  89. Full instructions are included in the program, just select 'How to play' from
  90. the menu.

  96. Full instructions on how to register and details of cost are given within the
  97. program, just select 'Register' from the menu, you will be given a choice of
  98. registration methods and their prices, followed by full instructions to the
  99. method of registration selected.

  105. When you register you will receive a code that will enable this program to be
  106. used with your Series 5. The code is linked to the Unique ID of your Series 5,
  107. if for any reason a replacment code is required, one will be supplied free of
  108. charge. If you require further codes for any reason (including changes in your
  109. Series 5's Unique ID due to repair, or to replace a lost code), you will need
  110. to register for the new Unique ID. You will recieve a new code, and again be
  111. entitled to a replacement code if needed.

  113. The above policy is necessary to minimise piracy, and to keep the amount of time
  114. spent dealing with each registration to an acceptable level, which in turn,
  115. enables me to keep the cost of registration low.
