AComposite units are units like "h-m-s" or "Ft-In". To enter 5 hours, 10 min and 30 sec, simply key in 5-10-30 and tap the screen on "h-m-s".
You can create a new composite unit by inserting a "-" in the name of a new unit: Assume you want to create a unit "Pint-Ounce". Use the command Menu > Units > New, and enter "One unit of Pint-Oz is equal to 1 unit UK pint". In the next screen, you will confirm the Pint is UK pint and Oz is Fl oz UK.
BTapping the screen on the name of a unit is equivalent to pressing the 'key' of the unit and has the following effect:
if there is a non zero amount in the bottom window, this amount of the selected unit is converted into all the other units
if the bottom window is blank, the amount of the selected unit is copied to the bottom window (and available for Copy or auto-Copy to another application).
Tap the black area at the bottom of the screen (on "Converti") to display a list of the open files and applications.
If there are more 2 or more pages, tap the page number to turn pages. This has the same effect as pressing the right and left arrows.

ETo add a new Unit for an existing Measure, use the command Menu > Units > New, enter the name of the new unit, select an existing unit of the same Measure, and enter the conversion rate. Example: if the Meter exists, and you want to add the Centimeter, your entry screen will simply say that "One unit of Centimeter is equal to 0.01 units of Meter".
The conversion of mpg (miles per gallon) to l/100km (liters per 100 km) is a particular case. To indicate that one measure is proportional to the reverse of the other, one has to put a 'minus' sign (yes!): assume that the mpg exists, and you want to create the l/100km. You will say that one unit of l/100km is equal to -282.5357 units of mpg. Converti will understand what you mean :-))
To enter a new Measure, use the command Menu > Tools > Measure > Add. Enter the name of the new Measure, and the name of one first Unit of that Measure. For example, you would enter Viscosity and Poise... You can then enter more Units of that Measure as described above.
Use the command Menu > Tools > Measure > Update to change the position of a Measure in the list.
You can add black lines to separate Measures: to do that, simply enter a new Unit for the corresponding Measure, and give it a conversion factor of Zero (you can give it any name: it will not be displayed). If you do not want to leave an "orphan" Unit at the bottom of a column, you can enter several black lines for the preceding Measure...
_CConverti is freeware, offered by Kylom. The latest version of is available at:
