  4. The file "dirnote.zip" contains the installation files for all
  5. the EPOC machines except "Osaris"

  14. What's new in version 1.2
  15. - Italian version released thanks to Paolo Esini.
  16. - Added two hotkeys (fully customisable by the user), the first one
  17.   (called DirNote) simply call back DirNote to foreground,
  18.   the second one (called System) if used from the system screen open
  19.   automatically the note function related to the file or folder selected
  20.   in the system screen.
  21. - Added a control if the name of the path is to long,
  22.   the name will appear with "..." in the middle of the string.
  23. - Added a "send to background",available with keys "Ctrl+Esc"
  24. - Corrected a little bug when a file or folder was deleted
  25.   or renamed and DirNote comes in foreground.

  43. ------------
  44. Welcome to Dirnote for the EPOC Series of handheld computers.
  45.  
  46. DirNote adds notes (250 characters maximum) to all the files or
  47. folders located on your disks.
  48. You do not remember why you have created a file or a folder!
  49. Well, DirNote will do it for you.
  50. Just press the spacebar while an item is highlighted and add
  51. your note for this item.
  52. The note will be displayed at bottom of the window
  53. (only the first 40 characters) while you navigate.

  58. The archive file should contain the following files:
  59. Dirnote.sis          The program 
  60. Readme.txt          English Instructions
  61. lisezmoi.txt        French Instructions
  62. liesmich.txt     German Instructions
  63. leggimi.txt      Italian Instructions
  64. (dirnote.sis include the following OPX file)

  69. Once installed. you will see the program consists of the following
  70. essential files:

  78. The following file will be created once the program run the first time
  79. c:\System\Apps\DirNote\DirNote.ini

  81. The three OPX files will be installed in the \System\Opx folder

  83. INSTALLATION
  84. ------------
  85. The program can be installed in english or in french.
  86. To install the program simply double-click on the DirNote.sis file
  87. or select the "Install New Program" option in PsiWin (EPOC Install).
  88. If you have PsiWin/EPOC Install v2.1 or above, then everything will
  89. happen automatically. If you have an earlier version, you will need
  90. to get the installation file SETUP.EXE, which can be downloaded from
  91. the Psion Home Page (http://www.psion.com).
  92. To install directly on a EPOC Machine, tap the .sis file to install,
  93. if this does not work then you do not have the Add/Remove utility,
  94. in this case download INSTEXE.EXE from the Psion Home Page
  95. (http://www.psion.com) and copy it to your machine and try again.

  97. RUNNING THE PROGRAM

  99. Start the program by selecting 'Extras' from the Application bar
  100. and then selecting DirNote.
