  20. 2. OVERVIEW
  21.    ~~~~~~~~
  22.     FreeCell is a game of patience played with all 52
  23.     cards of a deck. Unlike conventional patience, each
  24.     game of FreeCell is thought to be solvable so it is
  25.     more like a set of individually challenging puzzles.
  26.  
  27.     The object of the game is to put all cards in suit 
  28.     and increasing numeric order (starting with the Ace)
  29.     on the four home cells.
  30.  
  31.     Cards can be moved either to the free cells or on 
  32.     top of another card that is of the opposite colour
  33.     and next numeric value eg. 7 Hearts on 8 Spades or
  34.     Queen Diamonds on King Clubs. A card can also be moved
  35.     from a column or free cell to an empty column.
  36.  
  37.     The system will automatically put cards on the home
  38.     cells when they are available. It will not automatically
  39.     move cards that could still be used in the deck.

  41. 3. REGISTRATION:

  43.     Freecell a is shareware game. If you like it and wish to 
  44.     continue to use it you should register it. You may freely
  45.     distribute FreeCell as long as all files in the package are
  46.     included.

  48.     An unregistered copy of Freecell will continue to remind you
  49.     to register and will cease to work after 50 games have been 
  50.     played.

  52.     To register:

  54.     1) For Compuserve users, "GO SWREG" and select the file with
  55.        ID 16020. The charge is US $12 which will be added to 
  56.        your normal Compuserve bill. Compuserve charge 15% for
  57.        the service, so I get US$10.20
  58.  
  59.     2) Internet users can register via RegNet - The Registration
  60.        Network. The URL to reach the information / registration
  61.        page for FreeCell is: "http://www.swregnet.com/1232p.htm"
  62.        RegNet can be reached on the World Wide Web at the 
  63.        following URL: "http://www.swregnet.com" or by calling
  64.        1 800 WWW2REG (1 800 999-2734) or (805) 288-1827
  65.        The charge is $15 US. RegNet take $5 + 10% for the
  66.        service, so I get US$9.00

  68.     When registering please make sure the following information
  69.     is sent (if possible):
  70.     + Your correct e-mail address        MANDATORY
  71.     + Your name (as you would enter it)    MANDATORY
  72.     + The version number            OPTIONAL

  74.     This will enable me to make sure you receive the latest 
  75.     version, no matter which version you currently happen to 
  76.     have.

  78.     Once you have registered, you will be sent a registration ID
  79.     which you enter along with your name. This will turn off the
  80.     nag screens and disable the expiry mechanism. Benefits of
  81.     being a registered user include:

  83.     * Notification of bug fixes and enhancement availability.
  84.     * No charge for fixes and enhancements

  97. 5. INSTALLATION
  98.    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  99.     1. Create a "\SYSTEM\APPS\FreeCell" folder on either C: or D:
  100.        of your Psion
  101.     2. Copy FreeCell.app, FreeCell.aif and FreeCell.mbm into the
  102.        folder you created.
  103.     3. Optionally copy FreeCell.hlp into the same folder.
  104.  
  105.     Ensure that NO conversions are done when copying any of the
  106.     files to your Psion Series 5.

  111.     03Sep97 V2.01    Changed presentation of stats in the stats
  112.             dialog box and fixed a bug in calcs that
  113.             caused "overflow" crashes.
  114.     06Sep97 V2.02    Fixed a problem in the registration mechanism
  115.             Any registration ID's generated for an earlier
  116.             version will ** NOT ** work with this version.
  117.             Fixed bug that left card over the Free cells
  118.             if all Free cells are occupied. Fixed a bug
  119.             that was causing a regular crash with
  120.             "Subscript or Dimension error". Some updates
  121.             to the on-line help as a result of feedback.
  122.     13Sep97    V2.03    Fixed up Help File management problems and put
  123.             a "Registered to: XXX" message out at startup
  124.     30Oct97    V2.04    Implemented new registration scheme that is
  125.             independent of the Random Number generator.
  126.             Fixed a Crash (subscript or dimension error)
  127.             that happened moving a column when all free
  128.             cells are occupied.

  130.             care of the wonderful Phil Creed.
  131.     21Jan98 V2.06    Fixed up a problem with the keyboard interface
  132.             where you lose the cursor in the Free cells.

  136.             than the previous "Drag" based one.
