  14. Shortcut is a freeware utility for EPOC32 that enables you to make Windows 95 shortcuts to EPOC32 appilcations, documents and even web sites.

  16. Features:-

  18. * Create a shortcut to any EPOC32 application. Double click the shortut and the document is loaded, or brought to the foreground if it is already loaded.
  19. * Create a shortcut to any web site using the EPOC32 Web browser.
  20. * Create a shortcut to an OPL module file (an OPO file)
  21. * Fully Compatible with it's own files. You can create shortcuts to shortcuts!!
  22. * Integrates with the EPOC32 new file dialog.

  24. What's New in this release?
  25.  
  26. Version 1.5 of Shortcut features the following enhancements from V1.0
  27. Support for all EPOC32 file formats- You can now create shortcuts for OPL and C++ application files. You can also create shortcuts to OPO files.
  28. Support for web sites- Create shortcuts to web addresses. Double click a shortcut and the web site is launched in the browser.
  29. In addition, Beta 3 supports long filename and corrects some issues with OPL editor files.

  31. Installation

  33. Installing Shortcut couldn't be easier. Simply create a folder called Shortcut in your <DRIVE>:\system\apps folder and copy the Shortcut.APP, Shortcut.lib and Shortcut.AIF files into it.

  35. Next copy the SYSRAM1.OPX file into your c:\system\opx folder.

  37. Finally copy the ps.opo and ps.mbm files into a folder called c:\system\opl. These files may already exist if you have other Palmscape installed.

  39. Note Shortcut will run on the C or D drive.

  41. Using Shortcut
  42.  
  43. You can start shortcut from the Extras bar or by using the new file option in the System screen.
  44. To create a shortut you need to specify a filename and the type of shortcut. You can select from an application/file or a web site address.

  46. If you select application or file, then the next screen requires you to navigate to the chosen file. If you select web site, then enter a URL address, with or without the http:// prefix.
