  7. STLink version 5.5
  8.  
  9. This is a new beta version of STLink5, software to transfer files between the
  10. Psion 5 and Atari computers.
  11.  
  12. Version 5.5 now has the following improvements:-
  13.  
  14. 1.    Faster transfer - up to 100% faster than v.5.4
  15.  
  16. 2.    Long File Name compatibility - Supports LFNs on the Atari if 
  17.     running suitable versions of MagiC or MiNT.
  18.     
  19. 3.    Faster Directory display.
  20.  
  21. 4.    Up to 4000 files per directory (previously only 255).
  22.  
  23. 5.    Can close files before copying and reopen them afterwards.
  24.  
  25. 6.    Several minor bug fixes.
  26.  
  27. If upgrading from v.5.4, you will need to replace ALL the files. This 
  28. version will not work with the v.5.4 Psion appplication.

  30. Version 5.4 improved on previous versions in the following ways:-

  32. 1.    Baud rate selection
  33.  
  34. 2.    Improved long file name handling
  35.  
  36. 3.    Cut-and-Paste emulates the 'Copy anywhere' function of PsiWin 2.2
  37.  
  38. 4.    Preferences may be saved, including filemask settings
  39.  
  40. 5.    Installation program to load the Psion part of the software.
  41.  
  42. 6.    Last but not least - Support for file conversion!
  43.  
  44.     Unfortunately, copyright problems mean that I cannot include the
  45.     promised file converter with this archive, however I hope that 
  46.     these can be resolved.
