  12. Installation:

  15. Installation from SIS file:
  16.  
  17. 1) Execute the art.sis file on your pc or Psion.
  18.  
  19. 2) Choose C or D drive for the installation (make sure that there is enought
  20. disk space).
  21.  
  22. 3) The program will install itself.
  23.  
  24. 4) Install Pscape.sis, pythia.sis, systinfo.sis and sysram1.sis if necessary.

  26.  
  27. Installation from ZIP file:
  28.  
  29. 1) Make sure the \System folder is shown on your Series 5 system screen. If
  30. it's not, enable it in the 'Preferences' dialogue.
  31.  
  32. 2) Using PsiWin copy the files PYTHIA.OPO, EXPORT.OPO, CABINET.OPO,
  33. PSCAPE.OPO and PSCAPE.MBM to the folder \system\opl (you might have to create
  34. the folder)
  35.  
  36. 3) Go into \System\Apps on C: or D: and make a new folder called "Art"
  37.  
  38. 4) Using PsiWin, copy the following files to the new \System\Apps\Art folder:
  39.   Art.app
  40.   Art.aif
  41.   Art.mbm
  42.   Art.hlp
  43.  
  44. 4) Copy the files systinfo.opx and sysram1.opx in the folder \system\opx
  45.  
  46. 5) A new icon should appear on your Extras bar
  47.  
  48.  
  49. Problems
  50. --------
  51.  
  52. 1. Read only files
  53.  
  54. Some times files become read only while being installed. None of the files
  55. should be read only. If you get any errors like the program is unable to
  56. write information to your Psion go through the program files to see if some
  57. of them are read only.
  58.  
  59. In the system-view you can open the file property window by selecting
  60. (highlighting) a file and pressing Ctrl-P. In the property window you can see
  61. and set/clear the read only checkbox.

  63. 2. Copying between C and D
  64.  
  65. Be very careful when you move or copy applications between the C and D
  66. drives. It seems that the Psion is not correctly updated when applicaions are
  67. copied from C to D or vice versa.
  68.  
  69. Always delete the application directory from one drive before reinstalling on
  70. the other drive.
  71.  
  72. 3. Low on battery
  73.  
  74. When starting up this program for the first time a lot of writing is done to
  75. the disk. If your machine is low on battery these writes can go wrong and
  76. turn the application files bad. This should only be an issue when running the
  77. application the first time.
  78.  
  79. 4. Not enough memory
  80.  
  81. This program needs up to 300 Kb of free memory on the C drive. If you try to
  82. run the program with less than 300 Kb of free memory on the C drive it may
  83. not behave as expected.
