  21. Pdf is a viewer for Portable Document Format (PDF) files.  (These are 
  22. also sometimes also called 'Acrobat' files, from the name of Adobe's
  23. PDF software.)

  29. pdf 0.90 beta 4 is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), 
  30. version 2.

  36. Pdf is known to run on almost all current EPOC PDA's, such as the 
  37. Psion series 5, series 5mx,series 5mx Pro, series 7, netBook and Revo, 
  38. the Ericsson MC218 and the Oregon Scientific Osaris. Pdf should run on
  39. the Psion Revo Plus and the GeoFox, but at the time of writing this is
  40. not confirmed.

  43. Installation
  44. -------------
  45. Install the pdf.sis file in the usual way. Check your manual if you 
  46. are unsure how to install a program on your EPOC PDA.
  47. On the Series 7 it is possible that the installation programs hangs 
  48. while displaying the message "Checking dependencies". If this happens 
  49. to you, copy pdf.sis to your Series 7 and install it from there, by 
  50. tapping twice on it. You might want to delete this file afterwards.

  53. Running
  54. -------
  55. Pdf files have their own icon in the System screen (but not on a 
  56. Series 5 or a GeoFox). Tap twice on a pdf file to start Pdf with 
  57. that file. Pdf will load the file (this might take a while) and 
  58. display it (this migth take a while too). Check the menu and the 
  59. help text (Ctrl+Shift+H) for an overview of the commands available.
  60. You can also start Pdf via the Extras bar.
