  62. - Windows 95 or Windows 98
  63. - PC with an Intel(r), AMD(r) or, Cyrix(r) based processor
  64. - One free PCI slot (or two free PCI slots for SLI)
  65. - 16MB of RAM or more Suggested

  68. Installation
  69. ------------
  70. The installation below can vary depending on which version of Windows
  71. is installed.  To determine the Windows 95 version click Start, 
  72. Settings, Control Panel. Double-click on the system icon. If the 
  73. Windows version is 4.00.950b, Windows 95 OEM SR2 is running.

  76. Existing Drivers Installed or PCI Multimedia Device shown in Device Mgr
  77. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
  78. 1) Start Windows and extract the drivers to a temporary directory.
  79.  
  80. 2) Open Device Manager (Start, Settings, Control Panel, System)
  81.  
  82. 3) Locate the existing reference to the card it will be listed as:
  83.  
  84.        Reference Card: Other Devices / PCI Multimedia Device or
  85.                Sound, Video, Game Controllers / Voodoo2
  86.  
  87. 4) Double Click on the card, then click the driver Tab
  88.  
  89.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Click "Change Driver" and choose
  90.                                         "Have Disk"
  91.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click "Update Driver" then click
  92.                                         the Next Button.  Click "Other
  93.                                         Locations" 
  94.                       Windows 98 users: Click "Update Driver" then click
  95.                                         the Next Button twice on the
  96.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Ensure that
  97.                                         "Specify a Location" is checked and
  98.                                         "Microsoft Windows Update" is not
  99.                                         checked. Click Browse to continue.

  101. 5) Point the driver location to where the files are extracted to and click
  102.    OK.  
  103.  
  104.      Windows Standard Release 95 users: Select "Voodoo2 3D Accelerator" 
  105.                                         from the List and click OK.
  106.                                         Click OK again to save changes in
  107.                                         Device Manager.
  108.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 Users: Click on Finish to continue.
  109.                       Windows 98 users: Click on Next to continue.

  111. 6) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "Voodoo Graphics Drivers for
  112.    Windows 9X" Disk.  Again, point to the path you extracted the files 
  113.    to and press OK.
  114.  
  115. 7) Windows will copy the drivers. Reboot the system when prompted
  116.  
  117. 8) Install DirectX 5.0 or higher  (If not already installed)

  121. No Current Drivers Installed

  124. 1) Start Windows and extract the drivers to a temporary directory.
  125.  
  126. 2) Shutdown Windows, Power off the system and install your Voodoo2
  127.    3D board into a PCI slot. 
  128.  
  129. 3) Restart Windows after hardware installation.
  130.  
  131. 4) Windows will detect a "PCI Multimedia Device", you need to:
  132.  
  133.      Windows 95 Standard Release users: Select "Use Driver from Mfr"
  134.                                         and click OK
  135.               Windows 95 OEM SR2 users: Click the Next Button on the
  136.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Then click
  137.                                         "Other Locations"
  138.                       Windows 98 users: Click the Next Button twice on the
  139.                                         Detection Dialog Box. Ensure that
  140.                                         "Specify a Location" is checked and
  141.                                         "Microsoft Windows Update" is not
  142.                                         checked. Click Browse to continue.
  143.  
  144. 5) Point the driver location to where the files are extracted to and click
  145.    OK.  (Windows 98: You will need to click on Next to continue)
  146.  
  147. 6) You MAY then be prompted to insert the "Voodoo2 Drivers for Windows 9X"
  148.    Disk.  Enter the path the drivers are extracted to and press OK.

  150. 7) Windows will copy the drivers. Reboot the system when prompted

  157. OpenGL(r) ICD: Known Limitations
  158. ----------------------------------
  159. The OpenGL ICD included with this kit is meant for use with OpenGL based 
  160. games only. It may not be compatible with other applications that use the 
  161. OpenGL API for 3D rendering support.
