The Back Flick for example is executed by pressing O and TRIANGLE

while in possession of the ball.

And the Backheel = SQUARE and X while in p. of the ball.

Megashot = TRIANGLE and X while in p. of the ball.

(I know this one is not that easy, but this prevents it from

being used all the time)

The same for Running which is SQUARE and O.

Pull Shirt = TRIANGLE and O while in defence.

Dangerous Kick = SQUARE and X while in defence.

Push 2 Arms = TRIANGLE and X while in defence.

Btw. most of these moves only work in Arcade mode !!

Since the first posting of this list, a couple of errors have emerged,

and I've got a couple of other things I'm clear on. This seems to be

slowly mutating into an FAQ. Hmm..

Another cheesy goal

Tips on penalty taking and saving

and Karate Kick are available both in Arcade and Simulation modes.

However, in simulation mode the effects are much less pronounced. For

example a predator shot CAN be done in simulation mode, and while

being a more powerful shot than the standard shot, will not knock the

goalkeeper over to score like the arcade predator will, nor does it

have the fiery trail.

CONTROLS.

Standard (mode A)

With the ball:

Cross ( X ) = short (ground level) pass

Square ( [] ) = long (lobbed) pass

Triangle ( /\ ) = Jump over tackles

Circle ( () ) = Shoot.

Without the ball

Cross ( X ) = Tackle

Circle ( () ) = Two footed tackle

L1 = move camera angle

R1 = go to player nearest ball

L2 = Aftertouch left

R2 = Aftertouch right

The after touch is not as pronounced in either mode as it is in some

games. If you take a free kick just outside the penalty area, the

aftertouch will bend the ball about half way across the goal.

There are certain aspects to the use of these controls which must be

noticed. Firstly, APS includes a one touch 'buffering' feature. For

example, do a ground level pass and before it arrives press X again.

When the player receives the ball he will immediately pass it on.

Likewise, pressing () before the pass arrives will do a standard

volley. Furthermore, standard techniques can be applied to high passes

as headers. If no action is taken on receiving a high pass, the player

will chest the ball down. However, if X and a direction are pressed

the player will head the ball down in that direction. Again, pressing

() in this situation (and pressing towards the goal) will do a more

powerful header as an attempt to score. The key to this aspect is

timing. Too late and the attempt will not be registered, too early and

your player will do what I have christened the 'plank' move - i.e.

they stand where they are and are knocked down by the ball.

Special Moves

These are APS's super moves, all of which are activated by pressing

two buttons together. Each action takes some amount off the red bar

attatched to each player, and when the red bar is completely empty, NO

special moves can be performed. There are four 'states' a controlled

player can be in, and the state defines the exact nature of the move

involved. There is one exception to this..

All states

[] + () : Super run - the player runs much quicker than normal

pace, leaving a trail of blue sparks in Arcade mode. This burns the

red bar VERY quickly, and is best saved for short bursts to run onto

passes played into space, or to catch an opposing striker for a last

ditch tackle. This is the only super move that requires the buttons to

be held down. Also, the move WON'T activate if your controlled player

is off the screen. They will run at normal speed until they become

visible, then the super run will activate.

State 1: In possession

X + [] : Back Heel - The player stops dead and hits the ball with

the heel of his foot, knocking it back in the direction he has come.

This is useful if you find yourself in a gaggle of defenders, or want

another player to attempt a volley. As an act of ultimate contempt,

you can run into your opponents penalty area, turn round and backheel

the ball into the net. Sometimes it works...

X + /\ : Predator Shot - The most talked about feature of APS,

this is a super hard shot that, in Arcade mode, sets the ball on fire

and leaves a trail of orange sparks (cf. The new Nike ad). If this is

used anywhere the opponents part of the pitch, three possibilities may

occur -

a) The goalie will block it, but will be on the ground and

remain there for a couple of seconds. Possibly another player

may be able to follow up.

b) The goalie will tip the ball over the bar , and you will have

a corner.

c) The goalie will take the ball in his chest, stagger backwards

and fall over. The ball will roll over him into the goal. Watch

the intro for a good example of this.

/\ + () : Overhead Flick - The player uses his heel to flick the

ball up over his head from behind to land in front, followed by blue

sparkles in Arcade mode. This is the ideal move for avoiding tackles,

as it seems no matter how well the tackle is timed it will not get the

ball if this move is in progress. However, this move has one serious

drawback - you don't retain possession of the ball afterwards. If you

change direction while the move is in progress, you will leave the

ball behind. This also means that if the ball lands on the foot of an

opponent they will take it off you without having to tackle you, which

can make you look a bit daft.

State 2: Not in possession (i.e. chasing the ball)

X + [] : Karate Kick - The player leaps forward with a leg

outstretched in front, with a trail of yellow sparks in Arcade mode.

If this connects with an opponent it will knock them flying (ball or

not) and most but not all of the time it will get the opposition a

free kick. It's a risky move, but it's great fun in a multiplayer

game.

X + /\ : Push - the player shoves an opponent with both hands,

knocking them over. Again, will mostly be called as a foul, but not

always (depends largely on the referee setting).

[] + () : Nudge - a more subtle version of the push. if you run up

behind a player with the ball and use it, it will stop them in their

tracks and you can carry on with the ball. This is one of the hardest

moves in the game, as it requires pretty good timing or you get

nothing. It seems much less likely to be called as a foul than the

push.

State 3: Receiving High (lobbed) pass

X + /\ : Bicycle kick - how to explain this? the player turns to

face away from the direction to kick, jumps up in the air in a

somersault and kicks the ball when upside down. In arcade mode this

has the force of a predator shot. It does ground the player who does

it for a few seconds. The most sure fire way of scoring involves this

move.

/\ + () : Handball - The player leaps into the air and, covered

by an attempt to head the ball, handles the ball into the goal

(hopefully). This is the move that seems to get called up as a foul

more than any other, but when it does come off it's a real killer in a

multiplayer game.

State 4 : Receiving low (ground) pass

X + /\ : Diving Header. The player backs off to give himself room,

then dives at the ball powering it towards the goal. This has power

comparable to a predator shot, but is best used inside the penalty

area. A low cross into the goal followed by this move is one of the

more elegant ways of scoring in APS.

[] + X : Juggle. The player receives the ball and plays 'keep up'

with it, using feet and head to keep the ball off the ground for a

good 10 seconds. Finally, the player unleashes a predator shot towards

the goal. While this move looks excellent (watch the end of the intro

for a version) it's next to useless in any competitive game. Why?

Simply because there is no way to force the player to shoot before the

sequnce is complete, and the player is not invulnerable to tackles in

the meantime. Thus, you will always get tackled LONG before the shot

comes off. A pity, as the ability to shoot when you wish would have

made this a valuable move.

/\ + () : Predator Volley. - Simliar to a predator shot (it looks

identical once kicked) but a lot more difficult to pull off, and

therefore has a much better 'stick one on your mates' value in

multiplayer games. The move itself is simple to pull off, but

threading a low pass through the opposition so your striker can plant

one of these into the net is a difficult task. This gives the move

(IMHO) much more value than the predator shot. Note it will NOT work

if you pass the ball from behind the player attempting the shot.

Therefore the best way to do it is probably to cross from near the

corner flag with a low pass, and crack one in with this.

HIDDEN CODES:

The only hidden code found so far is to enable female commentators. To

do this, perform the following steps..

1) During a match, press SELECT to call up the options menu.

2) Go to AUDIO

3) Go to COMMENTARY

4) Hold down () + [].

If you press left/right, you should now have options for female

commentators in each language. I can only understand the English

commentary, but in summary it might be said that does not display a

hugely detailed knowledge of the beautiful game, but it IS amusing. My

favourite so far is the comment when a player is left rolling in agony

on the floor - 'Is he dead??'.

CHEEZY GOALS:

The first easy (and most likely to get small snack food items thrown

at you in a multiplayer game) way to score is as follows..

1) Get a free kick just inside the opponents half - say, just his

side of the centre circle.

2) Do a long pass to one of your front players

3) Before the ball arrives, hold /\ + X to get a bicycle

kick. I estimate 70-80% of the time this move will score. Of

couse, it only works a few times before your forwards get low on

red bar energy and stop it working.

The second way is somewhat of a classic in football video games - the

'speculative lob'. Basically, anywhere inside the centre circle, press

high pass towards the opponents goal. This will either do a standard

pass, or, if no player is in front of you, will lob the ball towards

the goal. If the ball bounces in or around the 'D' of the penalty

area, the goalie will make a complete mess of it and it will go over

his head into the net. I suppose, since a famous European cup-winners

cup extra time win, this could be called 'The David Seaman'.

PENALTIES

Saving

Saving penalties is relatively straightforward - press left or right

or don't press. As far as I can tell, anything else you do makes no

difference.

Taking

Taking penalties is also relatively straightforward, but you must pay

attention to the power bar. In this case it's a bit misnamed, because

it seems nothing to do with shot power. What it seems to define is the

height of the kick. If you put about 25% 'power' in, you will shoot

low. If you put between 50-75% power in, you will shoot high. Anything

over that will put the ball over the bar. Left and right go to the

corners, no direction is in the middle.

Codes Before the "Now Loading" screen when the bird logo comes up, hold

CD's. You can then perform the following cheats:

your wingman's plane hold R and press ST. A small Namco character will appear

in the lower left corner to confirm the codes.

ALIEN TRILOGY

In the password section type G0LVL then any number...That will jump you

to that level BUT it only starts you with a Pistol ;)

There appear to be other cheats somewhere since there are several lines

in the SLUS_000.07 file such as

Type "1g0tp1nk8c1db00ts0n" for unlimited health, ammo and all

weapons. You can also choose where to start in the game. The

code is easy to remember, think of: I got pink acid boots on.

i=1, a=8, o=0 (zero).

Note:

Go to "Options" and then "Password" menu, there you can type

in the pasword. There isnt any "a" letter, use "8" instead.

Same goes for "i", use "1" and for "o", use "0" (zero).

Enter the passcode

1G0TP1NK8C1DB00TS0N

It's I GOT PINK ACID BOOTS ON, you just have to use a

1 for an 'I', and the 8 acts as an 'A'.

This will give you level select, all weapons, all ammo,

god mode, as well as an option setting for NTSC/PAL.

Saving to memory card will save weapons and ammo only.

Automatic Home Runs:

During the game, press the Start button to pause, then

on controller 2 press Triangle, Square, X, Circle,

Circle, Circle. You'll hear a piano sound. Next press

the L1 button; you'll hear, "Home run!" Now you will

hit a home run every time your batter makes contact

with the ball -- even if it's a bunt. To disable this cheat,

enter the code again; when you press L1, you'll hear,

"Safe!"

Skip Innings:

To advance through a game faster, press the Start

button to pause, then press Triangle, Square, X, Circle,

Circle, Circle on controller 2. You'll hear a piano

sound. Next, press the X button; the words, "Let's Go

Inning" will appear on the screen. Press X on controller

2 to change the inning number, then press Start to

return to the game in the inning you chose.

Computer Control:

To give the computer control over your team, pause

the game and press Triangle, Square, X, Circle, Circle,

Circle on controller 2. After you hear the piano sound,

press the L2 button on controller 2; you'll hear a beep

to confirm the code. If you want to regain control of

your team, simply pause the game and enter the code

again.

A Classic Cheat Mode:

Pause the game anytime. Using controller two, press

Triangle, Square X, Circle, Circle, Circle. If you

entered the code right my friends, you should hear a

distinct "piano-like" sound.




BAT

THESE ARE THE NON MOVE TRICK FOUND THERE:

Gaia Code: Turn on your machine and press START to skip past the

introduction. When the title screen pops up, the words 1P GAME, VS

HUMAN, VS COMPUTER, and OPTIONS scroll into the middle of the screen

from the side. While they scroll on, enter this code on controller 1:

DOWN, DOWN-LEFT, LEFT, WEAK SLASH. If you do this properly you will

hear the word "FIGHT". At the character select screen hold UP and

press any attack button. This will select Gaia as your character.

VERY C00L!

Sho Code: First, you must enter the GAIA CODE. Then you have to get

the title screen to appear again. To do this, wait until the

demonstration starts up (15 seconds of no controller input at the

title screen will load the demonstration). While the demo is running,

press START on controller 1. This takes you back to the title screen.

Now, when the options scroll on this time, enter this code on

controller 2: LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, WEAK SLASH. You should

hear "FIGHT" confirm your code again. Then, when selecting your

character, press DOWN and any attack button. This lets you use Sho.

Once again, VERY C00L!

Secret Move Code: For this one to work, the SHO CODE has to have been

entered (which logically means that the GAIA CODE was entered too).

Let the demo load up, but use the START button on controller 2 to stop

it. This time as the options scroll in, do this on controller 1:

DOWN-LEFT, WEAK KICK. You will hear the word "FANTASTIC". Go to

OPTIONS and change the controller setup so that L1, L2, R1, and R2 are

set as SPECIAL buttons. This allows you to use your character's

secret move at any time by pressing (L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + SELECT).

C00L as well, but real warriors realize that true strength lies in

being able to do things the "proper" way. This is best used by an

inexperienced player against an experienced player to make the game

more interesting.

Level Select Code: After entering the SECRET MOVE CODE, load up the

friendly demo one more time, using START on controller 1 to stop it.

As the options scroll on, enter on controller 2: LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT,

RIGHT, LEFT, WEAK SLASH. You will hear "FANTASTIC" once again. This

allows you to use any controller configuration with any difficulty

level (the plus of this is you can use the SPECIAL setting for

individual special moves as well as the combined (L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 +

SELECT) secret move ability.

Camera Angles: When I tried out the documented camera options, I was

annoyed that I could only change the camera angle and couldn't scroll

and zoom the view. Well, it turns out there are some hidden features

which allow you to change to nearly any view. In OPTIONS, select a

control type that has no use for the L1 to R2 buttons. You can

then choose a camera options called YOUR SELF. Now choose a control

configuration which has camera options for the L/R buttons. Do the

same thing for controller 2. Then start up a game and pause it.

Press (WS + HS + WK + HK + SELECT). The OPTIONS menu will disappear.

Do the same thing again and the power bars/timer will disappear. The

L/R buttons on controller 1 let you zoom and scroll, while UP and DOWN

let you move the camera in those respective ways. Controller 2 takes

on the basic angle functions, and pressing SELECT will allow you to

view things frame by frame. After you set things up the way you like

them, you can press (WS + HS + WK + HK + SELECT) again to return

things to normal, or you can leave the power bars off. In either

case, press START on controller 1 when you are happy with the way

things are. One final tip: when the game is paused, you have the

added bonus of being able to view things from below the floor (it will

become invisible). This is an interesting way to play the game.





Battle Arina Toshiden 2:

Enter the codes below when the Options are sliding across the title screen:

1.On Controller 1 press R1, L2, X, L1, R2, O. This will turn the cursor blue (it is normally

yellow)

2.Let the demo start (you don't have to watch it)

3.When the title screen appears again, enter O, R2, L1, X, L2, R1 on Controller 2

Remove Meters

2.Press and hold O, T, S, X and press "Select" twice

At the Title screen press up, down, up, down, up + triangle to access the last boss.






BEYOND THE BEYOND:

Money Cheat

1.If you are equipped with any of the magical rings, go ahead & sell it, but make sure that it is

equipped first.

2.Once you sell it, you will notice that you are still wearing it & you are 7,500gps richer.

3.Keep on repeating the process until you reach 99,999 gps.

Golden Orbs

Ever wonder what those golden orbs given by the god's assistant were good for? Well, if you are

in

the enclosed valley & want to get out without going through the hassles of the annoying cave,

then

go ahead & use it. It will teleport you to the location of your "leftout" character. Once accustomed

to using the Golden orb, you can build a technique of teleporting in & out of the enclosed valley.

REAR CHASE PLANE VIEW ( a la AIR COMBAT):

When selecting your plane in either MISSION or TRAINING mode....

Highlight the plane you wish to fly....then press and HOLD

L1 + L2 + R1+ R2 + SELECT then press START.

The game will begin and press SELECT to change views.

door. Go through and shoot lasers at the second panel

and the secret door will open.

Level 21:Go down the hallway near the energy boost.

Go past the normal exit, and move into the hallway.

Move down the long straight passage,and back up

against the wall. The exit is on the ceiling or floor,

depending on which way is up for you.

Level 24:Leave the reactor room through the red

door.you enter a very tall vertical chamber,with the exit

at the top. The secret exit is at the same level as the

door from the reactor, just turn around and blast the

door until it opens.

Special Weapon Trick: To access the trick, to into the game Die Hard

2. As soon as the game begins, a helicopter flies in from the left.

Continuoulsy shoot at it until it explodes and gives you a special

weapon, A Beretta!

infinite ammo (default gun only)

at the end of any level when the clock is ticking down

waste all your ammo in the default gun down to ONE bullet

Position yourself in the doorway to the bomb so that you can roll

into the bomb (sideways in the doorway)

shoot the last bullet then roll into the bomb. if you touch the bomb

before your gun reloads then you will have a gun that never reloads so

you can keep shooting

any time pause the game and hold down R2 and enter one of these codes

THE BEST METHOD I HAVE FOUND IS PUTING YOUR SHIRT OVER YOUR THUMB AND

RUBBING THE BUTTONS. I HAVE BROKEN SEVERAL WORLD RECORDS.

If you get 13.33 on the triple jump or 69.69 in shotput(I think) you'll get a special surprise, but it's

not relay a big deal.

HERE ARE SOME HINTS

After you beat a professional full season on

the 3 tracks, you are rewarded with 4 new ones.

On the level entitled CliffDive do the following.

Scale the mountain like normal until you reach

the part where it says Danger ahead. Dive off

the cliff doing whatever tricks etc. If you

look around there will be a large mountain or

cliff with a tree on top. Go next to it and

slowly hit the gas. You will slowly climb the

cliff! From there you are on TRICKSTER STUNT

heaven man! You can do three flips, 720's,

and other crazy tricks! Also on the second

track: Blackwater falls, there is a shortcut

through the house, but I'm sure you already

knew that!








JUMPING FLASH!

Clouds On the title screen, hold the four top buttons (L1,L2,R1,R2) and press

------ up or down on the Dpad to control the clouds' speed.

End Game Notes When you finish the game, you will be able to play the levels

-------------- again, with objects added, moved, and/or missing. It will also

be timed.

If you can manage to finish the game (not including extras) without

continuing you can play in "Super" mode which adds these extra controls:

* You can jump 6 times, instead of 3

* Pressing /\ will make you fall faster (and do more damage when landing on

Saving After you've died, let the timer run out and go back to the title screen. Choose "Save"

Bowling

This trick needs two players:

Falling Cows

1.In the 2-player game you must be on Ruin's stage and one player must be Chaos

Full Inventory

Bring up the Map screen. Then press Left until the arrow is pointing at you.

Press Start to return to the standard view. During the camera's auto-rotation,

press L1, S, X, O at the same time. Press the T to verify that you have all of the

weapons.

Invincibility

Bring up the Weapon Select menu. Select the Frying Pan with L1 or R1. Go

back to the game. Then go back once more into the Weapon Select menu.

Press O and R1 to increment the selected weapon until you get the flashing 999

on your health counter. You can also turn it off by holding O and R1.

Ammo Refill

Get in the Foot Mode. Do a back-flip by pressing S + L1. During the black-flip

(before you land), press Right, X, O at the same time. Now all of you weapons

should have a weapon count.

Health Refill

Get in Foot Mode. Do a back-flip by pressing S + L2. During the back-flip

andafter you pass by gate 7 there will be three boxes to the right

RIDGE RACER

Extra Cars Shoot all the Galaxians during load-up to chose from eight

CAMERA TRICK

when you are out of the driver's seat mode, pause

the game and you can change the distance that you see the vehicle from. To do

this, pause the game and hold down the triangle button. While holding the /\,

use R1+L1 (not at the same time) to zoom in and out.

Car 13, Kid Car, White Angel:

beat the game getting first in the Novice, Advanced and Expert and than beat

the same tracks in Time Trial Mode and if you beat the

2 cars you get the car for that track. For beating the

Novice track you get Car 13, for beating the advanced

track you get the Kid Car (very bad handeling) and for

beating the Expert track you get the White Angel.

Backwards Racing:

To play backwards racing go up a little and turn

around; speed up to 60 mph and you will go through

the wall.

Homing Laser:

In order to get the extra cars, you have to kill all the

ships at the begining of the game. Hold

L1+R1+Dwn+select+Tri to kill all the ships with

homing laser.

In Freeway go staight ahead of you and then take that

Rumble, al you do it find the only tunnel that goess all

the way through the side with one recharge, then drive

though it(this is the little tiny tunnel, I mean), you'll see a

guy and tell just run over him and stand were he was

and BANG you have full energy!

In 8 car level:(My own little trick!)

Find the store, then drive into the door!  As soon as you do that you'll here a sound and you will have two
homing and two powers!!!

One roof top:

Using any fast car drive backwrds into the pyramid, that way you won't have to blow it up!!!

On the last level :

in one player mode, get on the same building as the

pyramid and jump of were there is a little raised window that acts like a

jump. on that building drive around the it's u-shape and shoot the crate

hanging from the crane for power and homing missles and oil.

Here is a FAQ my buddy Triger Happy wrote fro V-tennis:

First, the rules of the game. Points are counted in a different fashion than other sports. The scoring system
is: 0=15, 2=30, 3=40 and then the game is won. If the score is 40-40, it is called deuce. Then the scoring is
Advantage then if the next point is won, the game is one. In order to win a set, you must win 6 games or win
by 2....7-5. The boundaries of the court are easily recognizable. The vertical line on the inside are for singles
play and the outside for doubles.

net and volley to the opposite side. Works almost every time! 2) After returning a serve, do the same as 1). 3)
Constantly hit from left to right to get your opponent moving! 4) When serving: Go to the extremity of the
screen and drill it to the opposite side. Almost always an ace! Similar to super tennis. 5) Keep changing up
your shots...Basically, don't use the same shot over and over. 6) Lobs aren't very useful. Hard to control. 7)
Don't be afraid to go to the net. 8) And lastly: Do what the pros would do, this game is realistic. If it works on
tv, it works here. Also, don't expect to clean up in the tournaments. The opponents are much tougher.

possible to ace every serve! Side Note: My fastest serve was 218 km/ph with Hong...Can it go higher?? PS. I
haven't gotten this to work so chances are that it's bogus.

The Game

--------

WWF In Your House is a wrestling game that is a mixture of MK style

fighting

and good old fashioned wresting. It uses a similar engine as WWF

Wrestlemania,

but expands on the concept. For instance, each wrestler has their own

trademark "area" where they wrestle. (inside a ring of course).

Shawn's is

a nightclub, Owen's is a house of cards, etc. Also, each wrestler has

their

own "fatality" type pins. Now many of you who have played WWF

Wrestlemania,

will remember that the Undertaker had a fatality. The original plan

was for

all 8 wrestlers to have finishing moves, but once the WWF got wind of

it,

they ordered Midway to not put anymore in. In WWF IYH, one fatality I

have

seen is Shawn Micheals Heartbreak Hotel fatality. Now true wrestling

fans

will remember that Shawn hosted an interview segment entitled

"Heartbreak Hotel"

and in his fatality, the Heatbreak Hotel sign falls on the opponent.

Very cool.

So far, no tricks or fatalities have been uncovered. Hopefully a

pallete or

color select is included in the game like WWF Wrestlemania's arcade

counterpart. Dont get me started as to why the home versions didnt

have this cool trick.

Another interesting addition to this fine game are the endings. Now we

all

remember the lame endings of WWF Wrestlemania. "Congratulations you

are the

new champion, blah blah, " and fireworks and that was it. They didnt

even

include the arcade's personalized endings for each wrestler! Anyway,

each

wrestler has about 5-10 seconds of full motion video which also plays

the wrestlers

theme song. No midi-crap here folks, its all digitized and sounds

great. The

video shows the wrestler performing moves (usually their finishers)

and also

managers etc. I wont spoil the video for you, but trust me, its very

cool.

You should get about 1.68 billion dollars. (In case you

are wondering, 64646464h is a hexadecimal number.

In decimal it is 1,684,300,900.) You can also use

FF FF FF 7F 00 00 00 00...

Which will give you about 2.1 billion dollars.

I am unsure if I would call the following cheats, but the followingfeatures can certainly be unfairly

exploited:

1. Psi-Amp auto armament bug/feature

Your troops' psionic strength is discovered when they attend psionic training. However, if you

 carry

Psi-Amps with you in your Skyranger, thePsi-Amps are automatically deployed to soldiers with

the

highest psionic strenth -- whether they've been to training or not. This allows you todiscover your

best psi

people without having them attend training. Keepthese people off the front lines; they'll make

much better

PsiCorps.

2. Scientist/Engineer salary bug/feature

You only pay salary to scientists and engineers who are at your base onthe first of the month.

To avoid

paying them salaries, transfer them toanother base before the first of the month. You won't pay

salary to

personnel who are en-route to another base.

3. Partially-spent clip bug/feature

At the end of an assault you'll have lots of partially used clips. Ever wonder why some clips are

returned

to inventory while others aren't? If a partially spent clip is loaded in a weapon, it is discarded at

the end of

the assault. If a partially spent clip is NOT in a weapon, that clip will be considered full and

collected at

the end of the assault. The moral of the story is to unload every weapon from fallen aliens and

soldiers.

You'll have much more ammo as a result.







ZERO DEVIDE:

Rather than keep the Replay Save option on all the

time, just press the 'SELECT' button after a round to

bring up the option to save the current fight to a

memory card.

To Fight Xtal:

To fight XTAL, play through the entire game on

'NORMAL' level or higher without continuing.

Fight as Zulu:

To fight as ZULU, you must play through the entire

game and defeat him with each character. Difficulty

setting and/or # of continues used is not a factor.

Fight as Xtal:

To fight as XTAL, you must play through the entire

game with any character at the 'NORMAL' or 'HARD'

difficulty setting WITHOUT continuing.

Fight as Neco:

To fight as NECO, you must play through the entire

game with both ZULU and XTAL. Difficulty setting

and/or # of continues used is not a factor.

Color Select:

After beating the game, you can choose from among

16 different color schemes for the character you select.

To choose a different color, hold 'SELECT' and press

any one of the eight attack buttons. Player 1 and Player

2 each have their own set of 8 color palettes each.

Special Congratulations Scene:

Play until your total playing time exceeds 200 hours.

You'll get a special congratulations screen with cool

artwork of the characters.

Hidden Game:

To play the hidden game, TINY PHALANX, turn off

your machine, hold 'SELECT' and 'START' on the

second controller, and boot up the machine. Continue

to hold the buttons down until after the Zoom logo

appears, and the hidden game will load up. Get the

high score and beat the game and you should be

eligible to fight NECO.

Invincible Phalanx:

Go to the option screen of Tiny Phalanx, highlight the

speed option and press LEFT/UP,L2,R2,AND

TRIANGLE at the same time. then the background

screen will turn RED if you entered the code correctly.

CPU vs. CPU

Hold L1, L2, R1, R2 and Down on controller 1 when entering versus play.

Stage Select

This can only be accessed once your total playing time reaches 30 hours or above.

Win a round in under 5 seconds and you will be able to select any stage in versus play.
