- MATCHING ACCURACY TEST (NUMBERS)
- Most office work in the 1930s con-
- sisted of paper shuffling and was
- largely done by hand. Seeing a need
- to evaluate how well a potential
- office worker could shuffle papers,
- the Psychological Corporation deve-
- loped a series of tests. These tests
- still enjoy widespread use in busi-
- ness, industry, and schools. They
- give insight into a very basic func-
- tioning of the brain. The following
- test is built on this concept: how
- well and quickly you can compare
- sets of numbered pairs.

- INSTRUCTIONS: You will be asked to
- compare 100 pairs of numbers. If the
- two numbers in a pair are exactly
- the same, press Y. If they are
- different, press N. You have three
- and a half minutes to complete the
- test so work as quickly as you can.
