  9.    d: - the letter of the drive to be made the default drive.

  11.    DOS searches the default drive for files specified in commands if you do not
  12.    specify another drive.
  13.  
  14.    The DOS prompt shows which drive is the default.  The prompt A> indicates
  15.    that drive A is the default drive.  B> indicates that B is the default
  16.    drive.

  18. EXAMPLE:   Change the default drive from A to B:
