- The Book Report Program
-
- This program asks the user questions about a book they have read.
- The questions are grouped into six major areas; (Library information,
- Setting, Main character, Supporting characters, Main Scene, and Feelings
- about the book). The user is allowed one line per answer, with the
- option of getting another line for most of the questions. The objective
- of this one line format is to get the students to think about the
- book they've read, and write down important ideas that they can later
- develop into complete answers or reports.
-
- The Book Report Program can be used as a pre-writing activity for
- students needing to compose book reports. The students can save their
- responses to a text file on this disk or a data disk, which can then be
- accessed via most ASCII word processors for revision. Or, the students
- can print their responses and use the hard copy as a starting point for
- a more complete report.
-
- This program has been developed as a supplement to junior high or
- high school English classes.
-
- The Book Report Program requires an IBM computer. A printer is
- optional.
-
-
- If you find this program useful, a contribution ($15-$20 suggested) to
- this full-time ESL instructor, part-time Graduate student, beginning
- software developer, would be greatly appreciated. Updated versions are
- also available.
