  5.         PC-FasType - Quick HELP Facility -- Keyboard Helpers Menu
  6.  
  7.      The Keyboard Helpers Menu lets you select various options affecting
  8. the screen displayed keyboard and to 'toggle' them ON or OFF.
  9.  
  10.      Each press of a function key reverses the previous setting of the
  11. option.  If it's ON you'll turn it OFF, if it was OFF you'll turn it ON.
  12.  
  13.      Each typing helper keeps its setting throughout all the drills and
  14. exercises that you select.  They're not reset unless you change them or
  15. restart PC-FasType.

  27. The KEYBOARD HELPERS Menu selections are described as follows:

  29. ** Begin Typing ---------------- F10 **
  30.       Displays the Screen Keyboard and lets you begin typing any drill or
  31.       exercise you selected.
  32.  
  33. ** HELP! Facility --------------- F1 **
  34.       Call up the Quick HELP Facility for PC-FasType.
  35.  
  36. ** Quiet Mode ------------------- F2 **
  37.       When QUIET mode is turned ON (check-marked), all PC speaker sounds
  38.       will be suppressed; when it is turned OFF (no checkmark), all
  39.       speaker sounds will be available.
  40.  
  41. ** Hidden Keys ------------------ F3 **
  42.       When this feature is turned ON, all of the typeable letters and
  43.       characters on the screen keyboard keycaps will disappear.  During
  44.       drills, the character you have to type will pop up on its displayed
  45.       keycap. During exercises, the delayed prompt will cause the key to
  46.       pop up after a short period of time has elapsed.

  50. ** Outline HOME Keys ------------ F4 **
  51.       When this feature is turned on, boxes will be drawn around the ASDF
  52.       and JKL; "home" keys to help you find where to place the tips of
  53.       your fingers.  This feature is very desirable for use with the
  54.       Hidden Key option.

  56. ** 'BEEP' Keystroke Errors ------ F5 **
  57.       This option enables a sound to emitted from the speaker when you
  58.       make a typing mistake.  You can turn this feature ON or OFF.
  59.       Normally it's on.

  61. ** Align Finger Positions ------- F6 **
  62.       This option draws vertical lines on the screen displayed keyboard to
  63.       separate the keys each finger controls during typing.

  73. ** Word Wrap During Exercises --- F7 **
  74.       If you want more practice using the ENTER key during exercises, you
  75.       can turn Word Wrap OFF.  This will cause a  symbol to be placed at
  76.       the end of each line for you to type - this symbol represents the
  77.       ENTER KEY, and you must press it to move the cursor to the first
  78.       character of the next line. With Word Wrap turned ON, which is the
  79.       normal setting, the symbol will not appear, so you can type either
  80.       the ENTER key for a carriage return, or simply press the space bar.
  81.       Whichever character you type will be counted as one keystroke.

  83. ** Reset Keyboard Helpers ------- F8 **
  84.       This feature RESETS all keyboard helpers previously set ON or OFF
  85.       using the Keyboard Helpers Menu.  One exception, QUIET Mode will NOT
  86.       be turned OFF if you earlier set it ON.

  96. ** Change Drill Count ----------- F9 **
  97.       This selection will display a pop-up dialog box asking you to type
  98.       in a new drill count.  It sets the number of characters you will
  99.       have to type during any drill selected from the Beginner Drills
  100.       Menu.

  103.       Display the previous menu which is the Advanced Exercises Menu.

  105. ** Display MAIN Menu ------------ -> **
  106.       This selection re-displays PC-FasType's Main Menu.
