- 1... PREFACE
- This product is an Electronic McGuffey's Reader indended to
- increase the moral sensitivity of teens. It can be used in the context
- of a curriculum in Living Skills or as a basis for writing exercises.
- The kit evaulates a student's approach to making value decisions.
-
- The purpose of the kit is to use the capabilities of the PC as a
- teaching media in the classroom. As American society becomes more
- visually oriented, computer images have a great deal of influence in
- the instruction process.
- The audience for this product is a literate high school population.
- The students using PARABLES & PARABOLAS are actively involved in
- selecting the presentation order; scrolling; and answering a few questions.
- The program is subdivided and organized so that it should not exceed
- available periods of class worktime (20 minutes).
- Study questions supplied in the Teachers' Manual (included at time of
- software registration).
- The teacher has the option of being a key component in the optimum
- use of the product. He may use the questions supplied in the Manual.
- Training via software permits just-in-time instructional capability and is
- self-paced. The kit can 'stand alone' without a lot of teacher directives
- for its use.
-
-
-
